Location: Tatooine Objectives: Survival

It had been a couple of months since her arrival on Tatooine. Unknown to the woman calling herself Wren notices had been sent out to locate a honey blonde blue eyed Jedi named Serena Bouie. Reports filtering in that in all the chaos that came after the death of Akala that Serena too had been killed.

Notifications went to her family that she was missing. No one had felt her die. But they could not explain her absence either. She had seemed content with her role within the Order it was not uncommon for her to take off on a mission to discover rocks or some other piece of historical evidence. But to disappear.

There was some concern in the months preceding the emergence of Akala and all the events during the time Akala had ruled once more over the events of the galaxy; the Silver Jedi had lost their Grandmaster, and the discovery of clones in the images of members of the Silver Jedi, imparticular a Master named [member="Coci Sinopi"]

Serena had been the one to find the clones, she had told [member="Connor Harrison"] that the Sith were coming to Voss. She was witness to what the Sith had done on Velusia she knew the faces of the Sith that were there. Had the event provided them time the opportunity to abduct Serena and make her disappear? Or were the reports true that she had died during the event and due to the surging of the force her passing had gone unnoticed.

She was staring at her hands. The smooth back of her hand, the lines the led to the cracks in her hands from the hard work she was doing. The dry air sucked the moisture from her every hour without any type of hydrating lotion her hands had split open and bled.

Sitting there she kept thinking I feel like there is more I should be doing. Something continues to tickle at my mind but I can't seem to bring the thoughts to the front of my mind. And the dreams. Faces I don't recognize but think I should. Places I can't recall. Am I going insane?

She stood and began to walk she had a break for a bit, she would go and buy drinking water and a piece of bread. It was what she could afford.

The sun beat down it had not taken long for the twin suns of Tatooine to remove the color from her hair, or to darken her skin. The work kept her strong and provided enough credits for a place to sleep.

She was standing before the stall paying for her water she didn't see them, but intuitively she knew they were there. She licked her lips and when she paid she turned slightly to look in their direction.

Her heart began to beat faster, she took a few steps away from the stall, and they took a step toward her that was all it took. She took off running. They gave chase.

Now, I've noticed that things happen that don't normally just happen to other people. Maybe it's because I'm a Sith, or maybe because the Force does things to people, or maybe it's just my luck. But I suddenly had the sense that the people I was chasing had found something. They seemed to run with a more purposeful air than they had before, like they'd found a target. That was bad. A pair of thugs feeling that they had a target was a perfectly good reason to stop them.

Whether "stop" meant kill in this instance, I didn't know. But, I could sense a Force sensitive person near them. Moving away from my vantage point on the roof of an apartment building of some kind, I leapt down into the street right in front of the Force Sensitive. A woman? A worker, from the looks of it. Trying to forestall any negative reaction to my face, or lack of one, I held up a hand.

"Lady, just let me nab those guys chasing you, and you can scream about metal monsters to your heart's content."

[member="Bond"]
Serena slid across the sand trying to stop before the person holding up their hand. She was really confused what was he saying about screaming? She looked behind her the men were coming, If you are offering to take care of them she pointed behind her no problem.

She slipped passed him and then stood there, what was he going to do, shoot? fight? what?

There was a strange sensation one that made her feel nauseous. She shook her head clearing it of whatever cobwebs had worked their way into her thoughts. She felt no recognition so why was he offering to help? And should she be screaming?

I chuckled metallically, and pulled my hat off to reveal the golden metal that was my head, and pushed up my sleeves as the smell of ozone began to leak off my clawed hands. The two people who'd apparently been chasing the woman stopped short at the sight of a gleaming droid gathering up Dark lightning in his hands. I glanced over my shoulder at her, and would've smirked if I had a mouth.

"Oh, I'm offering. I just don't enjoy the normal bit of screaming and running that happens when a monster like me uses my power."

From my hands, several arcs of lightning spread to the two people, blasting a hole in one's chest and knocking the other out almost immediately. I sighed at the dead man, and shook my head.

"Damn them... Now I'm gonna get blamed for their killings, aren't I?"

My eyebrows would have arched, if I had any.

"Well, you're a witness, now. You wanna turn me in, or get running before we find out what kind of a sense of humor their boss has?"

Serena's mouth opened and nothing came out what was this? She did step back again instinct "Monster" ok so what did he expect she felt like shrinking. She watched fascinated she had not ever seen this before, was it part of him or his suit.

Yes, you will get the blame. She was not capable of such a thing. Did she run? She had a job. But then again she had seen a lot around here, "I'm for running right now. With that she took off. Whether it was their boss, her boss, or anyone else. She did not want any more trouble than what she had.

I watched the woman run away from me, and mentally rolled my eyes. The AXX Screamer let out a noise like a taxicab whistle, and I heard my speeder coming towards us. It stopped in front of me, and I hopped in before driving after the bleached-looking woman and stopping when I caught up with her.

"You'll be safer with me. C'mon."

Of course I seemed like a monster. I'd just blasted a hole in somebody's chest with lightning from my hands. But coming with me was still a better bet than trying to hide in town.

Serena stopped abruptly when her rescuer pulled up. Now if she was of her right mind that being of a trained Jedi Knight she might be wanting a fight, or would know not to accept help from the dark sider.

But, since her memory was gone and only what she knew of the present she would do things that were out of her character, "Ok..but no funny business" She got on, and held tight.

"By the way, thanks" She had spent many days confused why should this day be any different, "where are we going?"

[member="Bond"]

I looked over at the woman, shrugging. I'd just driven us out of the town, not really knowing where we were going. But, the safest place would be my compound in the middle of the desert, surrounded by angry Sand People and huge cliffs.

"Well, the safest place would be my home. There's food and stuff, though I don't eat. I've got all sorts of stuff for guests that I can't use myself. You'll be alright as long as those damn Tuskens stay properly afraid of me."

She was growing a bit nervous, he didn't eat, he didn't drink, he had no mouth...was he really a monster? What should she do? She looked back, and then at him...he could kill her out there alone in the desert.

Sithspawn she nodded, "Sure why not you're place" whats the worst thing that could happen she thought. "Raiders huh...nice place to live" She quipped. She had this feeling that she often got into trouble.

I looked at the woman, hearing the change in her voice. With a metallic sigh, I glanced over at her again. She seemed nervous, which was understandable. It wasn't exactly normal to see a golden metal guy blast a hole in somebody's chest, and then not be scared out of your skin when you got in a speeder with him.

"Believe it or not, I'm not leading you into a trap. I actually live out in the middle of the desert, on a cliff, right on top of an abandoned Tusken settlement. You'll see."

It pissed me off when people thought I was some kind of murderous metal thing. Sure, I looked like this out of necessity, but I wore clothes like anybody else, and I talked and waked like anybody else.

Something tickled her mind something said that he was holding back. But what was that. She dismissed it as imagination. "Ok. So what do I call you? " He had to have a name right. Well she imagined he had one.

"I'm trusting you" she had no choice really. She watched the sand fly by as they headed out. She felt like she had been running ever since she woke up in the Vong territory. But the dull ache inside was the worst. Worse than the headaches. Maybe this time in the desert would help.

I looked at the woman, nodded, and looked back in the direction I was driving.

"The name's Bond. I'll explain that later."

For now, I was simply trying to keep us from running up into a rock or something.

[member="Serena Bouie"]

[member="Bond"]

"Bond?" She did not get to ask the question he answered it for her with a quick he'd explain it later. She nodded.

She was tired, and the dreams were draining her sleep. They were loud dreams too, at first she thought people were just talking really loud but no when she went to ask them to be quiet there had been no one there.

She dreamed of a red circle the seemed to be broken, of a man circling her laughing at her, calling her fool for believing in something as obscure as love. He had kneeled and told her that he would take her love, and make her slave at his feet, then she'd know what love was. His eyes burned and what was worse was when she woke up, she had this sense of familiarity that she did know him. Was she a slave in someone's house before all of this?

Why a red circle? Who was the man? Who am I really? What is WRONG with me????

She clenched her jaw and waited till her rescuer got them to their destination.

I saw the entrance to the cave that led into the abandoned base, and relaxed. Almost home. The speeder's engine noise echoed through the cave, and my red eyes were the only light, which was fine. Finally, the tunnel gave way to open air again, and the driveway up the cliff to my house was visible. I drove up it, and got out of the speeder.

"We're here..."

For the first time since she'd asked my name, I looked at the woman, and felt a little bit of concern. Her expression was strange.

"You alright, there?"

[member="Serena Bouie"]

[member="Bond"]

Here they were and here was a cave. Out of habit she looked upwards something told her that she knew a lot about caves how they formed, how they worked, what things could be found in them.

It was on the edge of her memory, just sitting there waiting for her to flick a finger at it and wake it up. But then she looked back at Bond. "Well this is um cozy" She wasn't complaining, beat the desert heat, and beat getting beat up for what little credits she was able to keep.

"So what do we do now, play twister?" She smiled.

I looked at her, a little confused, and gestured towards my droid joints.

"I'm pretty sure it's physically imposs- Oh, you were joking."

With a mechanical sigh, I sank down into the nearest chair and leaned back to look at the blonde woman.

"You got my name, so what's yours?"

[member="Serena Bouie"]

So he lived like a human. Interesting. Flopping into a chair across from him she smiled, "Wren" She nodded and looked around, yes joking she thought. Least he understood a joke.

"You live here all the time?" Wow. And feth.

[member="Bond"]

I just shrugged and leaned my face on my right arm a bit, casting glances around the room. What was so weird about living here, exactly? Of course, this wasn't exactly a place most sentient beings would choose to live voluntarily. And I did occasionally get bored of this, but then stuff like today happened.

"Yeah... What's so strange about that? It's Tatooine."

[member="Wren"]

[member="Bond"]

"OH I don't know, I don't see many people living in the sides of canyons or mountains here they mostly build structure either above the ground, of half above half under to keep fro the cool"

Wren wanted to walk some but she didn't know where to go, "So, really why did you just help me?" Everyone did something for a reason, for purpose, what was his purpose?

I looked at her, scratched my chin a little bit, and then shrugged noncommittally. Saving somebody felt like something nice to do, especially since I'd been hunting the people chasing her. Plus, blasting a hole in a person's chest could cause some people trauma... So, bleh.

"Eh, mostly because I don't like getting people fingered for murder unless I want them to be. The killing itself was for money, which wasn't necessary, but was a pretty fulfilling way to vent my aggravation and boredom."
