Strengths:
  • Size of the Fight -
With every muscle fibre in the body replaced by genetically enhanced powerhouses of cells, its not hard to realize that you don’t get tired very easily. The excessive amount of stored adenosine triphosphates, and the unruly ability to create more on the fly, every muscle tendon in the body is capable of fighting longer and harder without the risk of acid buildup or otherwise unruly trepidation in the face of exhaustion.

This, in addition to the fact that Gen’dai genetic material mixed perfectly in unison with the rest allows for an exceptional ability to heal any damage. Although this doesn’t mean the muscles will never get tired, this does mean that micro-tears in combat or physical exercise will result in very quick recreation of the seemingly once damaged cluster of cells. Now, unlike Gen’dai, this is not an instantaneous process nor is it painless or all answering. On par with most gifted ferreros in terms of absolute regenerative ability, it is still entirely possible to damage the muscles; though harder to make it irreparable so.

It should be noted that despite the Gen'dai genetic material, this does not allow immortality in any capacity; only heavily regenerative muscle tissue.

[*]Let The Wookiee Win -

  • One of the reasons the muscles are unable to regenerate at the same rate as the notorious Gen’dai is due to the fact that other lesser creatures were added in for the strength they carried. Most notably, wookiee slaves bought from intergalactic markets were turned into stem cell cattle for the exclusive use in The Blackwell Project. This in addition with updated nerve endings created a strong concoction for the eventual super soldiers they intended.

With the various muscle tendons already carrying extreme durability and endurance, what left to create was wookiee level strength and light quick reflexes. This is exactly what was achieved, for the expressive purpose of making faster, stronger, and better soldiers of tomorrow. Men and women bred for war in all purposes.

Weaknesses:
  • Blow Your Motor -
While it is certainly possible to rip a man's arms from his sockets like the fabled wookiee, comitting yourself to an act might rip your own out as well. The reason being is two fold; the first being that the muscles themselves simply cannot take the force. Surely, they'll regenerate, but don't get in an arm wrestling match; the time it takes for the muscles to tear from the tendon and bone is far faster than the rate at which it comes back. This means that if you push yourself too hard, it could take a few minutes before you're actually able to come back with full force, or even mediocre force for that matter.

Second, the bone structure underneath the muscle by itself is not able to stand up against traditional forces like this. Without some secondary augmentation of the bone structure itself, you're more likely to snap the bones in your fingers than you are to actively crush a man's hand. There is absolutely nothing stopping the bones underneath to stop the crushing force of simply flexing; making it very difficult for a regular man to simply use this system alone.

[*]Too Much Control -
  • In part because of the energy stored within each muscle, and the excessive amount of density now present; there is the vexing issue that most without advanced nueral networks find their muscles twitch and seize. This isn't a problem if you take a hefty amount of narcots, making it very popular amongst pirates and the lesser folk that can afford the surgeries; though the real issue becomes on how used to it the body is. More often than not, the temporary addition of strength is quickly negated by the fact that individual limbs or whole bodies could simply fall into full seizures completely devoid of the brain falling into a vegetative state, so much as you're aware of each cramp and crushing twist the muscles commit themselves to. Occasionally for severe wounds, the severe damage could cause localized seizures that would otherwise disable entire limbs; depending on the damage.

[*]Hulk Mad! -
  • The increased muscle tissue also required a serious amount of hormones to effectively run, meaning that anyone who utilizes these under normal conditions will suffer from extreme mood swings or otherwise deadly bouts of anger. Its not uncommon for those with the system to kill loved ones, family, or friends on a whim because the bread wasn't put away properly, or the speeder was parked five degrees to the left of its usual spot. This usually ends in a strangled mess, obviously, but it doesn't make the situation any better. In combat, this can come at risk when intimidation is a factor, making them extremely susceptible to most Sith teachings of Dun Mok; while regenerative healing can cause a surge in hormones that would otherwise cause severe emotional sways or otherwise deadly reactions.

[*]Sierra-117 -
  • To fully take advantage of the system, it must be installed young; preferably around the age of 12 in boys and 10 in girls to accommodate puberty and the like. Doing the surgery after these points not only drastically increases the rate of failure, but increases the numerous issues present in the muscles by far. Not only does it need to be in the body before species related puberty, it almost must have a very specialized ceramic-nutrient heavy diet to allow proper growth of the augmented tissues. This nearly flavorless meal is the only thing viable enough to allow proper growth of the new tissue without deforming it or otherwise leaving the person cruelly twisted and broken.

Its not at all uncommon for those who wanted to utilize the device to simply become paraplegic or worse; twisting their bodies into nothingness as their muscles damage the body and leave nothing behind but the mind.

DESCRIPTION
With Jaeger taking full advantage of its new genetics department, and the numerous skilled technicians in the facility, it has begun work on an off the book project known simply as ‘The Blackwell Project’; a specially designed super soldier program that could take many years to finally witness results. In this, the first of many additions to these eventual soldiers was created;

The Dziuwaiyi Muscle Tissue is exactly as its name implied, a very strong substitute to replace the conventional muscles and localized nervous system for the expressive purpose of enhancing strength, reactionary speed, and endurance in one swoop. Although this was achieved, it comes with a number of trade offs including seizures, hormonal impacts, and more. These were all seen as cost effective, and did not damage what the scientist and backers considered ‘mission critical’. Despite the initial growing pains, the product was pushed further into the realm known as R&D.

Eventually, the final organ was created; with all the bobs and whistles. A muscle replacer that avoided the weakness of EMP’s through strict biochemical reactions, but one with a number of its own hurdles to cross over.

Hello, I'll be judging your submission today. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

I'm curious. You state the regenerative process is not instantaneous like the Gen-Dai, how long would it take to heal a minor wound? And would major injuries and increased cell development affect the negative effects of this muscle implant?

Minor wounds would likely take a few minutes, to a few hours depending. Major wounds could take hours to days, given no infections or other damages, and assuming it was a clean wound.

I'd say the recreation of the muscle tissue would incur a hormone surge and likely result in unknown emotional or psyche consequences. Likely make them more extreme, more than anything. Depending on the damage, I'd also say some damage could certainly cause localized seizures without a properly developed nervous system.

So yes, wounds would make the negative effects worse, substantially so.

Done.

As far as non humanoids, I'd generally consider this available to any humanoid, and a little ingenuity could get you it in pretty much anything depending on what you were looking for. Obviously anything with muscle tendons really.

Due to the nature or this submission I am worried about it being abused as a mass-produced product. Because of that I will need this to be brought down to a MINIMUM of Limited.

Such an augmentation borders making me want this submission moved to Codex as a species, however since it is mainly focused on muscle tissue I will not request that.

Also I need to be sure that it is understood, in no way will this pass on the Gen-Dai trait of near immortality.

Adjusted the production level, and made sure there were multiple mentions of slower healing rates. I'll put an additional one in that ensures people don't mistake this for a means to immortality.

What you should be submitting is a new species submission. This submission would fundamentally alter the genetic material of an individual to the point that they would no longer be recognizable on the genetic level to their original species and goes well beyond what augmentations we normally see in the factory. Mixing three or more species together requires a codex submission for a species regardless, which is written in our character creation rules.

I'm going to move this to the archives so you can submit it to the proper location; i.e; the Species section of the codex. I will be doing the same with your other submission.

This submission is denied as it goes beyond the scope of the factory. You may submit this as a species to the codex, but without substantial changes it may be denied there on concept due to the strengths listed in the submission. You are welcome to a second chance if you wish, but in the future do not attempt to mislead site staff or factory staff with vague questions out of context to have judgments made by factory staff reversed, it is a violation of our Factory & Codex rules:

This submission has been denied and moved to the Archives.

You may request a Second Chance within the Factory Discussion Forum and tag [member="Jamie Pyne"] for review.

Thank you!
