Long ago, the armies of Mandalore were split into several orders underneath Mand'alor the Abandoner; The Order of the Red Hand, Mandalore's supercommandos under Clan Kyramud. The Order of the Blue Hand, The enigmatic Nite Owls under Aloy Vizsla and House Solus. The Order of the Green Hand, Mandalore's peculiar force order under House Solus.
Legend has it that a fourth order had been established; The Order of the Black Hand. This order was believed to be the shadowy hand of the Mand'alor himself, spying and killing in the shadows. But with Aloy Vizsla's Nite Owls already undertaking similar missions with varying success, Rumor spread that the Black Hand had never existed in the first place.
Vizsla certainly didn't believe in it.
If it ever had, it must have been briefly, and failed to see light beyond Mand'alor the Abandoner's decedent fantasies after he fled Mandalore when the people needed him most...
As if a cruel irony, and perhaps playing into the old legend, Aloy Vizsla's rebel cell out of Roon was named the "Black Hand Collective". Privateers and rebels consisting of disgruntled Ex-unionist Mandalorians, these men and women began fighting the empire and the Sith from the shadows as their mythical progenitors were supposed to.
With Vizsla's return from captivity, The Black Hand has also returned. Their enigmatic cell of vigilantes and rebels now build anew on the planet Tatooine, Where they strike at imperialists and Sith alike from the shadows between stars. It is to this organization that the Black Fleet holds true loyalty and from their ranks that the fleet's leadership is drawn from.
