<<Sister Detective, wait! There’s one more thing. There's someone you should see, before visiting the nexus.>> Astrid piped up via technopathy, transmitting to both the Chaplain and the Detective. While she had been assigned as the secretary of a Black Knight Daimyo, her ultimate loyalty still lay with House Io as a group, rather than the Black Knights alone. More than a few Black Knights, including Hayami Io, were quite aware of this and as such were understandably suspicious of her. Nevertheless, every Black Knight was well aware of the consequences that would fall on them and their clan should a Nuetralizer be impeded in her duties, even those that seemed to go against the interests of the Black Knights or the clan they were seconded to.

Once she was given permission to continue, Astrid gave a single name and two sets of coordinates—one of which led to the Ancient Archives of the Brain Demon Cult while the other led to the Mammon Mountains, the site of the nexus.

The Brain Demon archive world was as dark, stormy, and foreboding as Alessandra could have expected.

Their ship touched down in a clearing just outside of the white pyramid structure which held the archives. Unlike her visit to the Black Knight Temple, Alessandra had arrived fully caparisoned for war, clad in her bodysuit, armed with her chakrams, and a secondary energy shield module on her belt. Nevertheless, the Chaplain didn’t expect there to be violence, but the nature of the Brain Demon Cult demanded that such precautions be taken. Naturally, she had advised Nancy towards doing the same, though the decision to do so was ultimately hers.

Disembarking from the vessel, the two gynoids were met by one of the Cult’s enthralled servants, a towering, violet-skinned Togruta who proceeded to escort them to the entrance. However, by all indications, she was not a Witch but rather, a mortal servant. The cult had a certain affinity towards Togruta, for they were crafted in the image of their Goddess. This one in particular had a striking resemblance to Her, due primarily to her purple skin and curvaceous, Amazonian frame.

“As always, it is a pleasure to have House Io officials at our humble abode!” The Togruta said, without a hint of sarcasm or irony in her tone. “I am Nyala.” She introduced herself. “Can I interest either of you in a prisoner or two? There’s been a fresh haul of Mawites recently, including two Sith Zealots!” The Togruta added, a wicked grin shifting her features as she spoke.

“Or perhaps something of a more…refined taste is to your interest?”

Before they could leave, the Neutralizer Astrid gave them another tip: seek out the Senate. Alessandra judged this a more pressing matter than the nexus, and Nancy reluctantly agreed.

They traveled to the Cult’s archive world, a desolate and stormy planet. While Alessandra was fully prepared for battle, Nancy appeared to be once again wearing mere clothing, this time a black and white dress. She was armed with a slugthrower pistol.

As the Togruta approached them, introducing herself as Nyala, Nancy appeared curious. “What would you consider refined?” she asked, wanting to know more.

After giving Nyala a chance to answer, however, she got down to business. “We’re looking for a member of your Cult called the Senate. We need to speak to her about certain… sensitive information. If you could bring us to her, we’d be much obliged.
