The Biggest and Baddest Corporation? [Faction Interest Check]

The Basics:

Basically what I've got in mind is one massive megacorporation, which I will call Omni Dynamics for the time being. The thing about Omni Dynamics is it is more or less a conglomeration of a bunch of other companies that came together to form one freaking massive corporation with factories and specialists branching every field imaginable. In fact, they are so powerful, that they proceeded to launch a rebellion on an ecumenopolis (city world) and effectively take it over by establishing a false Corporate Utopia.

"Playstyle":

Their playstyle, for a lack of a better word, is going to focus heavily around diplomacy and intrigue. Many of the dominions of hexes if we manage to go major won't be through conquest but rather through skillful diplomacy and toppling governments through subterfuge, bribery, and corporate buy outs. This doesn't rule out direct combat entirely, as Omni Dynamics will surely host a large assortment of professional mercenaries. I'd also like to see this approach carry over to how we interact with other factions, establishing corporate branches on their worlds which act both as a center to spread propaganda and to make a profit, but also for a place for agents and slicers to obtain information even within enemy territory.

Government

The basic concept is this: there is no government. Omni-Dynamics never claims to be a government, just an employer. Employees get benefits such as healthcare, protection, housing, etc, and get paid in a company specific currency only usable at company owned stores. While non-employees on worlds "controlled" by Omni Dynamics have no such protection. This is justified as a 'worker's utopia' where the sweat of your brow and dedication leads to a good life while the lazy who seek to be unemployed and would have survived off a government's social welfare programs are left in the dust. So they "are" the government but aren't at the same time, giving them the ability to justify harsh control methods taken against both employees and non employees. Employees breaking the terms of their contract are treated like normal criminals, as their contract specifies what will happen should they break it, much of these terms taking after default laws of a government such as banning theft, murder, etc. While Omni Dynamics can wage open war against non-employees. While they are doing this they are pumping out propaganda about how with no government and no laws anyone is able to do anything they want with no restrictions and that it hasn't actually turned out that bad!

Player Characters

Now, you might be wondering where player characters might fit into all of this. Well, there's a few places really. Mercenaries, bounty hunters, slicers, and professional thieves will be frequently contracted as 3rd party agents so that no direct line can be traced to Omni Dynamics even though these people work exclusively for them. CEOs are also wanted, as Omni Dynamics effectively absorbs their company and offers them a seat in management where they'll act as governors, commanders, and etc, with the richest most powerful (the faction owner and admins) sitting on The Board which is the main governing body. As for Force Users? You're definitely welcome, but I don't see this faction becoming heavily involved with either light or dark side or the force in general. Hell, they may even try to make a profit off of the force.

Eitherway. I thought this was a relatively unique idea and I'm looking forward to your feedback and questions!

Also, I am aware that I am really new to even be considering creating a major faction or even a more popular faction. But I assure you I roleplay well and can adapt quickly!

Don't mind me. Just setting up a team of anarchist criminal mercenaries to run freelance corporate espionage all over your megacorp-owned world.

Hm. Like they're running the shadows. There should be a word for that...

Lol I'm only a few months in to Forum life and I'm tryna run three different factions, not to mention I started the prefix to my Empire in the first month of being here.

Definitely a unique idea. Feels like Stellaris. I can somewhat imagine some endeavour of mine getting involved with Omni. Your brutal lack of morality bodes well with Myself and The Emergence

[member="Orex Mauda"] It is actually based off of a Stellaris Empire I was running for a while, glad you caught on!

But if it does manage to pick up then we'll definitely see what our factions can do together.
