Private The beginning on Terminus

One did not have to walk far from the Terminus spaceport before reaching the less tourist friendly areas. While Vouvry knew that he would probably have a more safe and pleasant time if he stuck to the main avenue where activity was bustling and salesmen were scrambling to sell a few more products before the end of the month, he also knew that it was probably the more expensive area to be in. The neighbourhood he found himself in now was far less pleasant and although most of those who were still on the streets looked perfectly friendly, shady figures were far from uncommon. It was an environment which he had got used to on his journey away from the Sith Empire.

Turning the corner, Vouvry noticed how much emptier the path ahead was. Except for a merry band of men and women moving in the opposite direction as him, it seemed quite desolate indeed. Being new to the planet and merely hunting for a store recommended to him by someone at the spaceport, the young Mirialan did not know why the street was so empty - but then, he didn't feel very bothered about it either.

When Vouvry and the group neared each other, one of them - a woman clad in a green jacket - raised a bottle in the air "For peace!" she exclaimed upon which her friends followed suit, raising their own bottles and repeating her words. With a few group members looking at him expectantly, the Mirialan let out a chuckle and raised a cupped hand in the air, just as if holding a bottle, "For peace!" he hollered, finding the gesture harmless enough. A larger, almost goofy, Togruta waddled forth with a bright smile on his lips "That won't do, here" he said, giving Vouvry an unopened bottle. "Wow, uh thanks" he said, surprised at being given free alcohol. The two parties slowed down and the woman in green raised her bottle again, giving Vouvry a knowing smile as she said "And prosperity!" The group, including the off-worlder Mirialan, mirrored the action.

It was all going so well - the young Mirialan even thought that he might have found some new friends, until the woman in green raised her bottle a third time "For the Empire!" Her holler was filled with a sense of pride and drunken enthusiasm and while the group mirrored her yet another time, Vouvry took a step back whilst his eyebrows furrowed. "The Empire?" he asked, clearly skeptical of it all. "Yeah, man. Drink!" Still maintaining a bright smile, the Togruta raised his bottle for another swig. "No, the Empire is evil!" his response was clearly not very well thought through as the many faces that had just been friendly and including turned hostile. "What did you just say?" the woman looked at him with anger, almost as if ready to gut him at the spot. Meanwhile, the others, including the large Togruta walked closer until the large alien could lean in "We treat you to this" he began, poking at the bottle with his finger before continuing "And you turn out to be an ugly little huttspawn?" The Mirialan slowly started walking backwards as the group kept pushing forth - not knowing quite how to respond yet quite motivated to stand for his opinion, Vouvry let out defiant "They are though! Just look at what they do, what they have done!" Still, small cracks in his otherwise strong voice revealed a slight hint of fear and it was obvious that the situation would probably get worse before it got any better.

Terminus, not the brightest point in the night sky, and definitely not a tourist destination many, if any at all, went out of their way to visit. It was however important for quite a few other reasons. Specifically speaking, for the Sakuran Empire, it was a vital stop on the path to and from Saijo. Current rebuilding and repatriation efforts utilized a base on Terminus to launch from. The Akaran personnel were held to stringent operating procedures while on planet, in order not to disturb to much of the local populace. Kimiko wanted her people home and complete with operations on Saijo before the next celebration of the next Winter's Harvest celebration an Akarui.

Recently though, intelligence reports had been raised that Imperial sympathizers had been operating openly on the fringes of Alliance territory, including Terminus. Mostly, her troops had remained back from the social economics of the planet. That was, until last week, when a group of Sakuran Marines were attacked while enjoying some time off. Thankfully, none had been seriously injured. but the report was less than savory.

Now, she found herself on the planet, paying a surprise visit to her personnel deployed away from home. The visit was designed to boost the morale of her people, and let them know they were ahead of their schedule and already planning on the return trip. She had also been accompanied by her head of intelligence, Yoshiko, to attempt and discover the root of these troubles before they sparked a full blown blaze.

The pair had successfully sweet-talked their way off the little Sakuran outpost and wandered into the less savory part of town. Yoshiko had been reading several reports from outside sources when the pair's attention got grabbed by a nearby commotion. They peered around the corned of a squat building to see the scene unfolding before them. They spotted the pack seem to gather around an outsider. Maybe not one of their own?

The duo shared a look and a nod, before stepping out from their cover and Yoshiko spoke,"Excuse the interruption, but my partner and I are here on behalf of Empress Kimiko of the Sakuran Empire. Were are here investigating a recent attack on the Imperial outpost in the city. Would you lovely people mind answering a few questions of ours?" Agent Tsushima was a great negotiator, Ki thought as she took a place at the woman's side. She herself remained neutral, but poised in the off-chance this situation went south.

Vouvry Vouvry

The atmosphere had certainly had quite the change compared to when they first interacted with each other. With each passing moment, the band of strangers drew closer and despite Vouvry making an effort to back away from them, they soon had him surrounded with his back brushing up against a large trash container.

If only they knew of his past occupation, their likelihood of threatening him would probably drop significantly. Unless, of course, they knew the full story, in which case they would probably go at him twice as hard. For a moment, the young Mirialan blamed himself for leaving his sabre at the ship and only bringing his measly holdout blaster. The thought would not last for long, however, as the mere idea of using that weapon against people again felt rather off-putting. The Imperial sympathisers did not give him much time for self reflection either as the woman in green continued, tilting her head upwards, cockily exposing her chin "Like what, buddy? Tell us exactly what it is that you find so evil about the Empire"

It did not matter that the Mirialan's mind went blank - for a relatively soft voice interrupted them. Together with the gang, consisting of eight people in total, Vouvry looked over to the side where he had been just a few minutes ago. Two Kitsune had appeared and seemed to have intervened just in time to hopefully save him. It was the first time he saw one of their species for real, only having seen an image of them before. Growing silent as the stranger spoke, his eyes fixed on what could be seen of their tails before his gaze slowly went upwards, studying their features thoroughly.

The large Togruta crossed his arms and let out a short chuckle "You hear that guys? The Sakuran Empire" he said, adding a mocking tone when mentioning the name. "Don't get me wrong, we like the Empire. Just not your Empire." his words were confrontational, teasing and came accompanied with a good laugh from his friends and a triumphant grin. Soon, the woman in green stepped forth, leaving Vouvry behind as she came up in front of the others, still a few meters apart from the two strangers. Continuing in the same spirit as her red-skinned friend, she spoke with a great deal of irony in her voice, making it rather clear that her words were and well-wishes were far from sincere "I am afraid not, dear. We lovelies have just made a new friend and would like some alone time. Send Empress Kimiko our sincere regards."

At this point, the young Mirialan was unsure as to what to do. While fearful of what might happen to him, there was a risk that it would only get worse if he called for help. Still, he kept his options open and remained silent for now. While the group had showed few signs of fear from incurring the wrath from this Sakuran Empire, he still hoped that they would come to their senses and leave him alone. Letting his eyes scan each of the Imperial sympathisers thoroughly, Vouvry noticed that at least three of them carried blaster pistols - of a much heavier class than his own. And he knew from having seen it before that the female in green jacket carried one too. Still, none of them wore any form of armour which would have been a rather difficult complication.

Yoshiko tapped a finger on her chin."Hm, it would appear as though you could tell her yourselves." she motioned to Ki, who let out an exasperated sigh at being revealed before the other woman spoke again,"What would be the problem with our presence?" the woman asked simply, hoping not to incite anything to rash.

Kimiko was concerned as the two parties spoke. What could have possibly provoked such a negative and possibly hostile attitude towards her people? She probed the gathering before them, hoping to sense anything that could give her a clue. Her focus landed on the male Mirialan who felt as though he was not a part of this group. Her focus intensified on him before she sensed his fear.

She shot him a concerned look to get his attention as her agent and the instigators continued...

Vouvry Vouvry

The human clad in the green jacket had an interested twitch of her eyebrow upon hearing about telling something to the Empress herself. Turning her head to the side, the woman whispered "Call Akko" to her brown-haired companion who walked off to the side, bringing up a holocommunicator to make a call. It was way too silent for Vouvry to hear, but judging by their actions, the contents of what was said could be deduced without too much trouble. Not keen on making her command too obvious to the strangers, the woman continued speaking "Oh, where are my manners, I suppose we should get properly introduced" Sarcasm was dripping from her words and continued doing so when she spoke again, first pointing at herself, and then at the Togruta "I am the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic and this is my friend, the Sith Emperor" While her words were sarcastic, feigning disbelief, the woman did see an opportunity to gain favour with some of her more influential friends who shared her sympathies for the Sith Empire.

Meanwhile, Vouvry noticed how the Kitsune looked back at him. She had remained there with her companion, despite the crowd surrounding him seeming to be less than friendly. It was much to her credit as many others would probably have chosen the safer option and departed if put in her shoes. Although the young Mirialan had actively refrained from using the force in a very long time, certain impulses and feelings lingered, regardless of how hard he tried to shut them out. Having a strong connection with the force, perhaps thanks to being Mirialan, it could be hard to shut out at times. This time, however, it might have worked to his advantage, as he recognised both of the newly arrived strangers to be force sensitive. Upon the realisation, his eyes opened up wide. They were force sensitive, sure - but what did that mean? Conflicted, his head tilted downwards as his gaze fell down to his feet. Guilt ridden over his past actions, Vouvry found the idea of him calling for their aid to be rather rich.

"Problem?" the Togruta asked, rhetorically after having been introduced as the Sith Emperor. Letting out a hearty yet somewhat sinister chuckle, he continued "Actually, there would be no problem at all. Why don't you come join us? We've got drinks" With that, he raised his bottle in the air, wiggling it a little to tempt them. The band of Imperial sympathisers were acting with surprisingly good coordination as their demeanour changed rather quickly along with that of the woman in the green jacket. "We have a few more bottles, don't we?" he asked, upon which one of the others threw his backpack down on the ground to begin digging.

Raising to large arms, the Togruta waddled over to Kimiko and Yoshiko along with two more from their group "Come on over, you'll enjoy our company" he said, now with a more friendly tone than before. Hearing those words Vouvry looked up again, hoping to catch the Kitsune's eyes as he shook his head 'no', hoping that she wouldn't find herself in the same situation as him.

Ki nodded in understanding, the warning received. She looked at the approaching group, and backed slowly towards her companion. She could easily hold her own, but hadn't personally seen Yoshiko in any sort of altercation and was curious to see her do so. Most of her past records were covered in blacked out reports and redacted mission briefings. From what little she could find out, Ki knew the woman was dangerous, especially to Force users.

Yoshiko was squared up against the middle aggressor, about to be flanked by the other two. Ki took up a spot slightly behind and to the left of her, ready to assist if needed. She did press the emergency button on her personal communicator, sending a signal for back-up. But that would still not arrive for several minutes at the least. Her main goal in the event of a fight was to reach the Mirialan several meters behind the remaining members of the group.

Agent Tsushima grinned sadistically as the duo were surrounded her eyes seemingly focused on her main opponent. Her hand was draped lazily over her personal saber, ready to ignite and allow it to feel flesh once again. None of her opponents this time were her usual prey, but that did not matter much,"Hm, the idea of joining your group in the escepades does enlighten me. But, I must decline for I - WE are on duty at the moment. Maybe if we are to solve this peacefully, perhaps you may be more willing to answer our questions yes?"

Vouvry Vouvry

The band of Imperial sympathisers had not let any intentions to commence violent activities show so far - at least not overly overtly. Vouvry watched as the red Togruta and his two companions walked over to the Empress and her friend - they had not unsheathed any weapons but it seemed rather obvious that they were prepared to enter a little scuffle if need be.

Vouvry, not all too comfortable in his current position moved closer to the one still scrounging for drinks in her bag. With so much focus and attention fixed on the Sakurans, nobody tried to stop the green alien until he saw that the person with the bag had already dug past the beer and was going even deeper.

Meanwhile, the Togruta raised a jolly arm in the air, and then proceeded to allow it to clap down onto Yoshiko's shoulder, immediately followed by a seemingly friendly squeeze and shake "Come on over" he said, tugging at her side, applying enough force to make a person move, but not enough to yank them about in a more hostile manner. The other friend who came with him walked up to the Kitsune and while he refrained from touching her, his arms spread out, one behind her back and the other pointing towards the group, as if ushering her to come closer. "We insist" the large alien spoke as if in jest. His lips formed a broad smile "Come now, you had enough time to stop by and ask us some questions, if you want us to speak, the least you can do is to join us in drink!" With that, he tugged a bit further at Yoshiko's shoulder - if she did not actively resist, she would undoubtedly be pulled along.

It was fast, Yoshiko did not like being touched by strangers, she raised her heel and struck hard at the back of the Togruta's knee, spinning swiftly, grabbing his face, and bringing him down flat on the back of his montrals. There was a sickening crunch as tissue impacted on pavement. The woman turned, still crouched, and faced the third member of the group, focused and wound like a spring.

Ki was not still either, her move was a distracting feint, that allowed her to make a break towards the Mirialan. She drew one of her short-handled sabers, but did not ignite the blade as she ran towards his location.

Vouvry Vouvry

Vouvry saw how the situation over by the two Sakurans got ugly and to make matters worse, three of the people by him pulled out blaster pistols - the fourth pistol belonged to the large Togruta who was currently busy with Yoshiko. It would take mere moments for them to fire off their shots against the most obvious threat which was Yoshiko. Still, the human in the green jacket aimed at Kimiko. Not about to let his rescuers get shot, Vouvry stretched out a long arm and grabbed the barrel of the woman's blaster and yanked it away from her, ensuring that the Empress would not get shot.

Instead of dealing with the two who aimed at Yoshiko, Vouvry turned on the one by the bag. Naturally, he was not keen on letting the other friendly Sakuran get shot, but out of the corner of his eye, he spotted the one by the bag bringing out a carbine. Deeming it to be the greater threat, he quickly dropped the blaster onto the ground and lunged at the carbine. This would not, however, be quite as easy as grabbing the blaster pistol - the one who carried the carbine was prepared and held it firmly. Still, Vouvry was strong and had a powerful grip himself and with a forceful kick, he launched the foe away a couple of meters and aimed the weapon at him.

With his finger on the trigger, the young Mirialan hesitated, not at all very keen on the idea of killing another sentient being. No final decision would have to be made, however, since the human in green jacket jumped at him from behind, wrapping her arms around his and putting both hands on the rifle, making it impossible to aim. Seeing his opportunity, the guy who had just been in Vouvry's cross-hairs rushed forth and sent a fist into his abdomen, causing quite a bit of pain. Still not about to give up, the Mirialan swung about which made it extremely hard for the woman in the green jacket to hold on. It would only take a few moments before she fell off which allowed Vouvry to smash the other sympathiser's head with the butt of the rifle.

What he had not noticed was that the woman in the green jacket had landed close to her blaster pistol. Fortunately she was not able to act all too quickly since she was still recovering from being thrown off.

Kimiko Taiyou Kimiko Taiyou

The first saber sprung to life as Yoshiko began defensively blocking the incoming fire. Her light-red blade arced band and forth im her reverse grip, attempting to return the blaster bolts back at her attackers. She began slowly backpeddling to allow some space between them, knowing the repercussions she would recieve from Ki if she went crazy on this group like she would prefer to do.

Ki herself had seen the Mirialan put up quite a fight defending himself. She smiled as her natural agility and speed allowed her to close the distance rapidly. By this time both of her white twin blades had ignited as she skidded between Vouvry and his attackers. She snarled as the man regained his composure,"I would suggest ceasing the
hostilities if I were you."
she kept crouched in front of him allowing him to aim his weapon. Her eyes shifted between the male and the female stirring on the ground.

Vouvry Vouvry

The demeanour of Imperial sympathisers who saw Yoshiko's lightsabre changed drastically with the Togruta and his two friends - still recovering from their earlier beat-down - halting in their tracks as the ones behind continued firing at the woman. The light-red blade was handled expertly and anyone, especially Imperial Sympathisers, knew the power which a force using lightsabre wielder possessed. While the ones who had just been en melee range scrambled to back away, the rate at which the others fired slowed down significantly since they saw that their own blaster bolts were flung back towards them with increasing precision.

It was fortunate that Vouvry didn't see the red blade of Yoshiko first - with his past, the reaction was bound to be rather negative. Instead, he saw the Empress sweep in between himself and his assailants with two white blades, seemingly ready to either deflect bolts or strike if needed. It was only thanks to her sudden arrival from the side that he noticed the woman in the green jacket and immediately pointed the rifle at her whilst barking out an order "Drop it!" The time for rushing their foes and hoping to triumph through numbers and brawn was long past now that Vouvry held the most potent weapon and the two Sakurans had ignited their sabres. Although her eyes flared up in anger and her hand squeezed the blaster hard she soon regained her cool - the woman in the green jacket slowly removed her finger from the trigger and slowly bent to set it down onto the ground.

As soon as her allies saw that their apparent leader was disarming, they cautiously did the same, some more reluctant than others. Soon, they had all taken a few steps back but standing behind the Kitsune who was crouched in front of him, Vouvry kept the sights of his rifle up. He knew that he would be reluctant to fire if something happened - but hopefully the threat would be enough. Perhaps it was not needed, however, since his two rescuers were already rather well armed.

Not afraid to push their luck, the Imperial sympathisers kept moving backwards whilst the woman in the green jacket still held her hands up to show them her palm "Ceasing hostilities" she said, repeating Kimiko's words. They had just attacked the Empress of Sakura, but did not seem to have any intentions of being captured. At least not if they had a say in the matter. Instead of coming to a halt, the group seemed set on actually leaving the area and escaping whatever the victors of the scuffle had in mind for them. Vouvry was just glad to have escaped injury and lowered his rifle when the other group was a bit further away. "Wow, thanks" he said enthusiastically, looking first to Kimiko and then Yoshiko with a grateful nod. The young Mirialan extended his hand for a shake but quickly remembered that she was supposed to be an Empress and with that, he started to bow instead, although forgetting to retract his hand which still hung in the air. "I'm Vouvry" he said somewhat awkwardly

It took several moments for nerves to calm and sabers to get put away. Ki shared a look with Yoshiko before the other woman began speaking into her communicator, possibly with a reaction team. Her attention was drawn to the voice that spoke to her, and when the little display made her chuckle, she took the offered hand gently and smiled,"Please, no need for that here. I'm glad you're okay. Vovry, I am Kimiko, a pleasure to meet you." she cheerily announced.

Her demeanor changed and she looked in the direction the group had departed,"So tell me, what was it that got you caught up on the wrong side of their little party?"+

Vouvry Vouvry

Vouvry glanced at the human as she turned away, speaking to someone over the comms. Not letting his gaze linger, he turned back to the Kitsune to hank her and introduce himself.

Although he was unsure of how to act, his grip quickly steadied as he stood up straight. Vouvry's face produced an appreciative look as the Empress seemed to opt for a more informal approach. While she did specify that there was no need for it at this location, causing him to think that it was for the purpose of keeping a lower profile, he did find it to be rather pleasant to not have to mind the formalities too much. "A pleasure to meet you too!" he replied. A chuckle escaped him as he looked down at where he had been punched and the blaster rifle he held in his left hand "Truly, quite the pleasure" he added with a lighthearted tone, knowing how lucky he had been that she and her friend passed by and helped him out.

Looking over to the direction in which the Imperial sympathisers were running, Vouvry took a deep breath and let out a long sigh. Speaking with an almost tired voice, he said "It's me, speaking before thinking again." Nodding towards the group far in the distance, the young Mirialan continued "They seem to like the Empire, the Sithy one -" Pausing for a moment, he looked back at her and let his forehead furrow as he finished the sentence "- and I really don't"

While he didn't know much about the Kitsune as a race, the Sakuran Empire or its Empress that was standing right in front of him - her connection to the force and which side she belonged to was what interested him the most. Especially after having seen the other woman's red lightsabre. Failing slightly in conveying what he wondered and leaving the question very open for interpretation, he asked "What are you?"

Kimiko Taiyou Kimiko Taiyou

"Ah..." was all she offered befor chuckling at his response. She knew that scenario well herself, finding herself in some of her toughest positions when she should've just shut up.

She did somber up and looked the way tbey departed again,"And to think we fought hard to remove them from this and the neighboring systems." she looked to him sympathetically,"I am sorry you got caught up in all that."

His next question kind of surprised her. She sometimes forgot that her people had only recently been introduced to the Galaxy. Knowing she did kind of stick out compared to her more human companions, she understood.

"Come, we'll get you checked out at the med station at the outpost." she turned to head out, looking back to smile at him assuringly,"I can hopefully answer your question along the way." she turned to her companion who had recently approached them,"Yoshiko, are you going to do some more investigating?"

The woman only looked at Ki before smiling sinisterly, pulling her hood up, and heading after the troublemakers...

Vouvry Vouvry

It was astounding how little he knew about what had been done in the area and how they had actively fought to reduce the presence of Imperial sympathisers. But then, he had only just arrived and was rather new to the western side of the galaxy. A slight sense of nervousness came creeping as the Mirialan thought of his own past but it was easy enough to suppress since Kimiko had behaved very agreeably, both towards himself, but also the Imperial sympathisers. Shaking his head, Vouvry spoke "It wasn't your fault" A meek smile formed on his lips "You two probably saved me from a thorough beating there" he continued, nodding to Kimiko and gesturing at Yoshiko with his hand.

Her reaction to his question was not the most expected one - seeing as she offered him a checkup at 'the outpost' rather than answers. But then, what could he expect from a question like that? Vouvry raised his hands to a waist level, palms facing the floor as he tried to brush the offer a way "No, I c-..." he begun but stopped himself. Getting a checkup was probably the wiser choice and considering how long he had been away from home, it was probably for the best too. "Lead the way" he said, ready to follow her to the outpost.

In some sense, it was a relief that they would be parting ways with Yoshiko who seemed a bit less good than Kimiko and had a rather intimidating presence after having shown the light-red lightsabre. Still, Vouvry looked to her and let out a "Thanks" to let her know that her help was appreciated. Naturally, he didn't speak until he had given an appreciative look to Kimiko too, not forgetting that he owed her gratitude for saving him as well.

Finding himself walking at her side, Vouvry kept throwing a few sideways glances, not fond of the idea of being caught off guard by any more Imperial sympathisers. He remembered that one of them had made a call whilst the rest of the group was still talking to Yoshiko and the Empress. In this situation, he doubted that anyone would target him but rather Kimiko who he was with. Looking down to her - not quite used to the height difference between them, the young Mirialan asked "You both used lightsabres" he said, hesitating a bit before continuing "But you don't really strike me as Sith. But Jedi don't tend to carry red lightsabres like Yoshiko. So, what are you?" Naturally, he was still interested in other aspects of her background - but since this was the part most related to his safety and comfort, he aimed to get it out of the way as soon as possible.

Kimiko Taiyou Kimiko Taiyou

They had walked for several moments, in the direction of her military's outpost in relative silence. Ki's senses were still on edge after the brief skirmish, her ear flicked back and forth at every little sound and her tails twitched beneath her cloak. She also sensed her new companion's nervousness, as he to was looking to and fro for any that may attempt an ambush on the duo. She did attempt to send a relieving wave to calm him slightly.

A deep breath escaped her before speaking,"To answer your first question, I am an Akaran Kitsune, from the planet Akarui. We have been mostly absent from the Galaxy for several millennia before I rediscovered the system." she turned and gave him a warm smile,"Maybe someday, you can pay a visit and see what we're all about!"

They continued, rounding several corners cautiously, before the sight of the outpost's defense towers came into view. She felt relief, but, there was still some distance to go. His second question was expected,"I have several different individuals in my service, from different backgrounds. I push learning from both the Light and Dark as it is never wrong to have such knowledge. My companion you met today, was once a Jedi Hunter in service to the One Sith Order." she shrugged,"Call us neutral." another smile, wide and proud.

Vouvry Vouvry

Faint memories of a class several years ago surfaced as she mentioned where her race hailed from. While there was no 'aha'-moment, it did seem somewhat familiar. The Empress kept being nice to him - very much unlike the Sithy ones he was familiar with. It was a welcome change and something he would like to see more of in the galaxy. Smiling, he turned his gaze to her "I would like that" His words were soft but carried an underlying sense of enthusiasm. It would be interesting to see the world she hailed from and if she was a good representation of the Akaran people, he was sure he would enjoy it.

Vouvry saw the recognition in her eyes as the outpost towers came into view. In many other situations, this would be where he tensed up and stayed alert for being taken to somebody's base of operations could easily be very dangerous. But by now, the young Mirialan felt like she had established herself as trustworthy and reliable enough.

Listening to he elaborate on their philosophy in regards to the force, Vouvry started growing a bit more skeptical. "Light and dark?" he asked, seeming somewhat surprised as he mentioned the second alignment. He was set on trying to bury his past - especially anything connected with darkness and its foul corruption. Still, the Mirialan had not been quite as tempted to speak of the dark side and its corrupting influence in a long time as he was now. Looking away from her, he bit his lips, finally deciding to hold his tongue on the matter and move on - concluding that if he would fight the dark elements in the future, if it ever had to come to that.

Turning back, Vouvry nodded towards the towers he had seen her eye before "Are those yours?" he asked whilst spotting a few defensive properties in them. "Do you help the locals with policing and security?" he added, curious about what convinced the inhabitants of the area to welcome the outpost there.

Kimiko Taiyou Kimiko Taiyou

She nodded at his query as the compound's outer wall came into sight,"To an extent. After fall of Saijo in the neighboring system, many of the refugees settled on the second planet in the Hikari system. Since then, we've used Terminus as a staging ground for the rebuilding efforts on Saijo."

The duo approached the gate and were challenged by the sentry,"Who goes there?!" not quite at gunpoint, but the challenge caused her to stop in her tracks as was in the operating procedures for the station here. She smiled and lowered her hood to show her face clearly, smiling widely at the sentry,"Sergeant Tagoya, was it? Hope your shift hasn't been to eventful."

The young Akaran blushed at the realization of who he challenged, turning,"Open the gate, it's the Empress!" Ki motioned for her companion to follow as the security gate fell and allowed entry. They were approached by another, more senior individual who bowed as he and his party approached,"Your Grace! Is there anything that needs our attention?" she looked from him to Vouvry,"Yes Captain, please see to it my friend here is checked up by the Corpsman and make sure he has a bed in the crew quarters." she turned to him, and placed a gentle hand on his shoulder,"It looks like we'll be parting ways for now. You're in good hands and will have a place to lay until you're ready to leave, if you desire. But, feel free to find me once you're done."

Vouvry Vouvry

Taking a few mental notes, Vouvry tried his best to make sense of what she said. He was sure that he would spend some time looking at all up on the holonet later again because many of the names she mentioned was rather unfamiliar to him - even though he had checked the local astro-charts and skimmed through the news when he arrived in the region. With a light shrug he looked down at her "I am glad you are. Otherwise, I might have been more blue and purple than green by now" he joked, alluding to the bruises that the Sith sympathisers could have inflicted on him.

Standing at her side, the young Mirialan observed her interact with her subjects. It was a rather amusing exchange with the somewhat awkward position that the guard was put in. Still, he didn't seem fearful which was what Vouvry was more used to seeing in the relation between rulers and their subjects. On the contrary, she was just as friendly with Sargeant Tagoya as she was with him and Yoshiko who had been part of his rescue party.

As they entered, the green alien's eyes darted from place to place, observing his surroundings carefully and taking in what details he could. Vouvry had spent much time on his own, but even before that when he was part of the SIth Empire, he had learned to always look for spots of safety and escape routes. His gaze lingered a bit longer when he could clearly see the species that he was so unfamiliar with, seemingly with great interest.

Upon being sent away with the more senior official, Vouvry turned to Kimiko and nodded his head in a bow "Thank you for everything" before parting ways to himself checked up by the Sakuran Corpsman. While grateful for the offer, he would, however, not stay in their crew quarters since he preferred the safety and homeliness of his own ship and also the company of his astromech.
