  • Midas & Associates Bank
    Bilbringi, Neutral Space

Bilbringi's history was... an interesting one. Hidden behind a protective layer of asteroids and home to renowned and respected shipyards, the planet was a very difficult target to assault. Despite of that, its strategic value had caused it to be the sight of several major battles in galactic history. It was a world mostly known for its industry, but the security it gained from its large asteroid fields, also made it the perfect place to store things people would want to keep hidden and safe.

One such establishment that existed on the planet, which catered to wealthy collectors and politicians in nearby systems, was an institution known as Midas & Associates. Certainly not the run-of-the-mill bank, M&A preferred to keep its business away from public attention, due to its rather exclusive clientele.

Unfortunately, even an institution as secure as this one, wasn't safe from the prying eyes of those who were interested in the treasures it held within. The kind who would have no qualms about... repossessing certain objects that caught their attention, by whatever means were convenient, even if those means were less scrupulous.

So it was that it came to the attention of a certain Eternal Empire, that a certain stone tablet had been recently acquired by a collector and this object now came to rest within the armored vault built beneath Midas & Associates' business venue. For reasons that the Eternal Empire's leadership would rather keep to themselves, it was decided that the acquisition of this tablet was of the utmost priority and it was to be done with all due haste and by any means necessary. So a plan was set into motion.

Problem was, the Eternal Empire was an organization known for its military and not for its skills at pulling off criminal activities. Sure, they could probably throw enough artillery shells at the building to convince its staff that it would be better to just let them have what they want, but doing so would also draw them into a war with the local planetary authorities that they would prefer to avoid for the time being, not to mention that they might also damage the very item they were trying to acquire. This was a job that required finesse, not a planetary invasion, the kind of finesse that a different kind of professionals was capable of. Luckily, the Eternal Empire was on fairly good terms with exactly the kind of people they needed. The kind of people who wouldn't turn down a lucrative business transaction.

The Eternal Empire's leadership reached out to the interstellar crime syndicate known as the Black Suns, with a simple proposition. If the Black Suns were willing to bring along a few of their trained professionals, the Empire had a way to covertly and safely get past Bilbringi's asteroids and defenses, in the form of one of its subspace cruisers, the U-431. Big enough to transport any equipment and muscle necessary, along with having enough cargo capacity to basically store the entirety of the contents of M&A's vault, the ship would also bring along any firepower that would be needed, in the form of its own agents and mercenaries and at least a few Force wielders. And its EWAR capabilities could also prove useful at obfuscating local law enforcement for at least a good while.

In return for helping the Empire acquire that one tablet that they were so interested in, the Black Suns were welcome to help themselves to everything else inside that vault, from precious artifacts, to secret documents containing useful dirt on a number of politicians and businesspeople and maybe even a few patents and schematics for things that several companies throughout the galaxy, were very keen on keeping out of any hands other than their own. The message was sent out via secured channels, detailing the Empire's proposals, along with a set of coordinates to rendezvous with the U-431.

Aboard the vessel, which was silently parked at the designated meeting place and hidden under its layers of cloaking tech, the Eternal Empire's best and most intrepid, waited...

"Bank Heists" weren't Kresslyn's thing most of the time, but he had found a way to justify this one. It wasn't a heist, just asset retrieval. The Eternal Empire needed something, so they'd get it with the help of the notorious crime syndicate, the Black Sun. Working with the Sun was something dangerous if you were some run of the mill rebellion, but the Eternal Empire was growing larger and larger every day. Kresslyn still hadn't figured out the causes of the people surrounding him, but his reason for joining the Eternal Empire was to be apart of a like-minded ideology. The force was a burden, a curse, and a tool all in one. It was a concoction of several things.

Pacing down the hallways of the ship that would get the Eternal Empire and its associates through the asteroid field and to the M&A itself, Kresslyn saw no familiar faces. There wasn't much to do besides wait and prepare. His force abilities were at the point of zero, so he was more acquainted with close quarters combat. Having a saber pike came in handy, most regular people weren't trained for seeing a weapon before you see a person, so getting stabbed from far away was their main problem. In addition to that, a perfectly positioned shield made him a fast, yet well defended, enemy. After not seeing anyone for a while, Kresslyn made his way towards the entrance/exit of the ship and took a seat, awaiting the arrival of others. Was he too early? No, just eager to get the job done.

The shuttle slowly drifted through space, operating on little to no power or thrust to keep its signature down, the Gallows lacked formal ships and had to rely on being moved around by 3rd parties or the Black Sun Cartels own fleet. This time around they had hired a smuggler to pass through near the meeting point and drop off the shuttle, that had almost been a hour ago, arriving early to scout out the area and ensure it was no trap. She trusted their associates but it never hurt to be on the careful side specially when it was linked to more questionable activities, robing a bank being one of them. Moving around the loading bay which was packed with a muscle and a few experts on the Black Sun payroll that were the necessary skill set to see this job handled.

Looking out one of the windows at the target planet and its asteroid belt, with the engines low sound and the moving of gear as members began to prep what they had brought along. She saw the perks in this operation, plus the fact she did not have to put forward a ship to help made it so much more worth it. The resources gathered from the bank could go a long way to further expanding her Gallows combat strength and making them a dangerous foe. She all ready had in the workings ways of procuring more manpower, skilled and unskilled to further bolster her numbers, at this point what she needed was the cash flow to equip them. But not all these resources would go to her, it was a Black Sun op and given they had handed over the skilled assets, it was only right they got a good take of the resources.

She was a simple servant in the totem pole when it came to things and she was still not on solid enough ground within their ranks to settle her positions. To them they were simply hired muscle on a unique contract to only support them, it did not make them the go to manpower when it came to fighting. As it stood the mandalorian clan that the Black Sun Cartel was so proud of still stood at the top. But she hoped with all the things she was pushing along, she would at least be beside them within the favor of the Black Sun elites. Hearing a signal from the cockpit she turned from the window and made her way to it, the pilot and copilot looking over their sensors and simply looking at their surroundings had finally noticed the Eternal Empires cruiser, right were they had said it would be.

One of the pilots turned to her as he answered their comms and informed them of their presence and arrival.

"Ma'am their ready to take us in, we'll dump the transport and ensure it is cleaned so no one can link it to us."

Nodding in response she turned around signalling to her men they had 5 minutes to finish preparations, they were about to dock. Looking towards the specialist that were not trained in hand signs used internally within her ranks, priory what she had been taught on Jilruan.

"5 minutes out, about to dock with our contacts, if you got any last adjustments make them now, won't have time later. Plus we got show our good sides to these allies of ours, also don't get in the way of my kin, their here to protect you so don't make it difficult for them."

With those words she could feel the shuttle turn and make its finally movements on its thrusters to the ship, aligning with its docking port so they could get off this scrap boat. Remembering not all of them were aware of them ghosting this ship she turned one last time.

"and don't forget anything, were not coming back to this scrap, its going to float around and be a present for our pursuers. They will find it and find it rigged, so no evidence is left of our presence, specially nothing personal."

Giving a glare and snarl with her final words to both her kin, troops and the associates they carried.
