The Backwoods

There were times when Lakura felt like she fit in, but most of the time she was an outcast. Now the woman felt oddly comfortable. The people of the Jen'Ari had not turned away from her or treated her differently because of how she looked or acted.

She was also quite weak right now. Food was hard to come by for her and she felt like she was wasting away. However, she had no credits to buy food and had to work to eat. Not having a fixed home to live in, she wandered and she had only recently found these people. So she made these lands her home for now.

Hiding in the forest, she now lived off the land until a position could be found for her. Taking up a spot on a lower limb of a tree, her glowing eyes watched the woods. There was a feeling along her spine something was coming and she wanted to be ready for whatever it was.

Felran was new to being in a faction, extremely new. It was irritating at best to have to take orders from some else but it wasn't something that Felran did not expect from joining the Sith. Felran couldn't just be waiting around for training and a master like he was told to do however. Felran had decided to journey into the forests in an attempt to go hunting. Practicing against a dummy would yield little result for Felran, a real opponent fought back, a real opponent dodged. The zabrak had also brought his double vibroblade along of course to also train with the unique weapon. Even if Felran only found small creatures they would still be of some use, they did value their lives after all and would dodge from attacks.

This was also a new thing for Lakura. When she was little, she had been part of the people of Dathomir, but then she changed. They had cast her away and then for several decades, she wandered. Only recently had she found herself welcome to the Jen'ari. In finding her place, she still felt called to experience nature from time to time. This was one of those moments.

She wasn't here to hunt so much as gain a knowledge of the land and what was around them. Not having any weapons other than her hands and the Force or rather her witch skills, Lakura was not prepared to face anything that might want to fight.

There was an approach of somebody and the nature around her noticed. Sitting on the limb of a tree, her glowing eyes watched the progress of Felran. He might not even know she was present.

As Felran moved through the forest he got two different, and very distinct feelings. One was the feeling of being watched by someone or something, the second was the presence of another force user in the area. Felran looked up to the trees where Lakura sat, his hand slowly moving towards his weapon. "I do not know you. That is not a good thing." Felran stated, intently staring at Lakura. His hand felt the hilt of his weapon but he did not draw it, instead waiting to see what the woman did.

Cursing her glowing eyes as the reason of her being discovered, when Felran spoke to her and said it was not a good a thing he didn't know her, she sat back on her feet for a moment and jumped down to the ground. There was no sense of hostility in any of her movements and he might notice she had no weapons of her own. Not yet having gained a master or rank of any kind, Lakura had none but her own hands.

She saw his hand move to his side and one of hers came up. A person trained on Dathomir, she felt confident in her ability to stop him if he drew that weapon.

"I am Lakura of the Jen'Ari."

Her tone was soft and quiet, but still slightly confident. There was also honesty in what she said. No sign of deception came from her.
