The Axis Powers

With that brief exchange, yet another piece of the puzzle was set into place. The Grand Marshal did not waste any time allowing his fingers to dance upon the terminal once more as he, first, sent a text-based message to the Emperor. It contained a simple invitation for the Atrisian Empire to join the Axis Powers. Within this notification contained a clause that it was a trial, for it did not take a rocket scientist to know that the Atrisians might be antsy about a formal alliance with the Empire, and thereby allowed for them to leave at any time; so long as it was not in the middle of a war...Next, and the final person on the list of contacts was one @[member="Soliael Devin Talith"], a leader of the newly-formed Moross Crusade. Once more, the clone tapped onto the terminal and sent a transmission out to the faction.

As the line was established, he took a moment to acknowledge the leader of the Black Sun Syndicate with a respectful nod. "No harm done, Vigo. Glad to see that you are with us."

With that said, the holo-call went through and the clone's holographic image manifested on the other end. He rendered a polite bow of his head before saying his piece. "Greetings, it is a pleasure to see you once more. It is my honor and privelege to invite you to our coalition: the Axis Powers. This congregation is composed of many nations, and is an alliance that will provide the strength required for us all to reap the rewards of militant expansion. Since you are our newly-formed neighbor, we would like to extend to you an invitation to join our midst. What say you?"

Soliael for a few seconds stared at the cloned man, of course he had been informed of all this before the call had been started. He would not have gone for something like this otherwise. On the other hand of course they all knew his name to be Devin, a crusader for Moross rather than one of the Three living gods.

For another moment or two he simply took a look around the room, seeing no one present but the clone Soliael felt it prudent to speak openly, knowing that they were trying to establish an alliance of sorts between their factions. “A military alliance against whom?”

Of course Soliael knew the answer to that as well, there was only one answer. The Omega Protectorate, it was the only military body large enough to pose any kind of threat to anyone within their regions of space. It was a simple choice, but it was always better to get straight and honest answers.

"We have chosen that the Axis Powers will be a military alliance against the Omega Protectorate. Our reasons are, as aforementioned, to reap the benefits of military expansion; and to eliminate a militant giant whose very presence is a threat to the well-being of our respective factions. Alone, the Confederacy would stand very little chance against the Protectorate; as is the same of the other members of the Axis. However, together, we have an opportunity to turn the tables...together, the Omega Protectorate stands very little chance against the Axis Powers."

"So I ask again: What say you? Will you join us in this Crusade?"

There was little more the clone could do than to be perfectly honest and say his piece with conviction. Once he had spoken, he awaited a response and hoped for the best.

The irony of Genesis calling this a crusade was not lost on Soliael, he smiled slightly. Moross had no interest on destroying Omega Pyre, there was no reason for them. However the protectorate had slighted them in one strong way, they had taken Kal'Shebbol from them. He frowned slightly as he remembered that, Moross had not been able to take military action due to their size. This would benefit them all of course. He considered for a few more moments, then spoke.

“We will aid you.” He paused in between words, knowing full well that this would likely be very messy “Though we only want one world from the Protectorate. We want Karideph.”

It was quite simple. Moross did not need to expand to grand amounts, just tiny bits. Eventually the religion itself would do the job of spreading, until then small military engagements would be fine. “And only Karidpeh. We will aid you on other worlds, but Moross itself will only take that one world.”
