ATRISIA. Once the capital of the Galactic Empire (Imperial Remnant). Once ruled by a Sith Lord. Once a free democracy that served the Galactic Alliance, left defenseless and struggling to find allies as the geo-political walls came crashing down around them. Today, the Atrisian Commonwealth lives on beneath the protection afforded it by the First Order.
The Atrisian Parliament finds itself locked in intractable debate. Those who supported the Galactic Alliance find themselves afraid to speak up, as they see the banners of the First Order hanging from public buildings. Meanwhile, those who kept quiet their support of the Atrisian Galactic Empire of Emperor [member="Akio Kahoshi"] or Emperor [member="Mythos"] find themselves emboldened by the sight of First Order star destroyers in orbit of their planet.
Here there are no angels.
Instead, each must decide for themselves which is the lesser of two evils. From the Imperial capital of Jar'Kai to the Resistance stronghold of Quan'Lo, Atrisia has ever been a world that exists in duality. The Imperial and the Republic. The Jedi and the Inquisitorious.
Which side will you choose?
ATRISIAN SELF-DEFENSE FORCES

The Atrisian Royal Corps form the ground self-defense forces of the Atrisian Commonwealth. A highly regimented land engagement force, this is no backwater militia. Primarily a nationalized police force deployed across Atrisia, Frisal, and Kilea. The Royal Corps has a complicated relationship with the Stormtrooper Corps of the First Order, being responsible to both support the First Order and also protect the people of the Atrisia from the First Order at the same time.
The Atrisian Naval Corps form the aerospace self-defense forces of the Atrisian Commonwealth. Their mandate includes both scientific exploration and system defense. Represented by the powerful star destroyer, HMS Dragon's Fang, the Atrisian Naval Corps is a formidable naval power in its own right. As it conducts security patrols, scientific survey missions, or just peeks at what is out there, the Atrisian Naval Corps is always wary of the First Order Navy, never entirely certain whether star destroyers of the First Order are friend or foe.
Operating in the shadows, the Special Intelligence Service conducts information operations and espionage/counter-espionage missions that support the national security of the Atrisian Commonwealth. The same complicated relationship as exists between the Self-Defense Operating Forces is also present here, as the Special Intelligence Service operates in tandem with the First Order Security Bureau. Sometimes supporting. Sometimes monitoring. Sometimes to supply misinformation. This is the section responsible for secrets and lies. And the only thing that is certain is that few who work in this field will enjoy a quiet retirement.
THE WAY OF THE SAMURAI
[ The Yovshin Swordsmen ]
The style of lightsaber combat that has come to be known as Jar'kai has its roots in the Force Warriors of Atrisia. Known as the Yovshin Swordsmen, these warrior-poets have always occupied a sacred place in the culture and tradition of Atrisia. At various times in Atrisia's history, the Yovshin Swordsmen have been Jedi, Imperial Inquisitors, or on the run from Forcer purges carried out by their own government. They are mystics, healers, and warlords with few equal. The Jedi serve the Light. The Sith serve the Dark Side. The Knights of Ren serve the Supreme Leader. The Yovshin Swordsman serves only one master: Honor. Honor, over honor, over all is the way of the Yovshin Swordsman. A Yovshin Swordsman will die to maintain honor, or die to reclaim it.

SO WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT?
The Atrisian Commonwealth is a minor faction that revels in being a minor faction. A group of writers collaborating on developing lore and building on the stories that have been told before (shout out to [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"], [member="Syn"], and [member="Mythos"]) in order to develop dynamic plots and storylines -- whether doing something as a faction or weaving our own slice of Chaos lore into First Order stories/threads.Building on the concept of Yin and Yang, the Atrisian Commonwealth stories focus on striking a balance between its Imperial and Republic past. It is part of the First Order, but it is also a world that supported the Galactic Alliance and the New Jedi Order. Those elements have not left, any more than the elements that supported [member="Akio Kahoshi"]'s Galactic Empire have left or disappeared.
Here, the only limit is your imagination.
Stories of modern day Yovshin swordsmen, ronin sworn to neither the Jedi nor the Sith.
Stories of Jedi exploring ancient civilizations or of Sith seeking artifacts of dark power.
Stories of a government trying to come together peacefully, with one side Imperialist and the other Republic-leaning. Stories of a company seeking new resources or labor markets. Stories of a planet trying to find its place in a new galactic narrative. The literary landscape is ripe for any kind of story you may desire to tell.
