- Blood-Ignition Mechanism: The blade has no traditional power source or kyber crystal. It ignites only when fed with the blood of its wielder, or that of another slain in anger. The blade is alchemically alive and attuned solely to Valaine.
- Will-Bound Form: The shape and stability of the blade is tied directly to Valaine's emotions and focus. It grows stronger with anger, hate, and pain—but becomes unstable if wielded with doubt or mercy.
- Ash-Drinker: The blade feeds on remnants of dead Force spirits or Sithspawn-like entities, absorbing fragments of them into the weapon and, indirectly, into Valaine. Each kill strengthens its resonance with her.
- Anti-Spirit Resonance: The weapon disrupts Force phantoms, Sith specters, and similar incorporeal beings. It is highly effective against ghosts, echoes, and cursed entities often found in tombs and ancient Sith strongholds.
- No Power Cell, No Crystal: The blade is not technological. It functions solely through ritual, blood, and bond. It cannot be replicated, repaired traditionally, or ignited without the original wielder's essence.

- Formless Flame: The unstable red-black blade is unpredictable in form—constantly writhing, jagged, and difficult to anticipate, making it hard to defend against.
- Ritually Attuned: Heavily resistant to standard deactivation techniques used against lightsabers; its function is metaphysical, not mechanical.
- Corruptive Growth: The more it is used to kill, the more power it accumulates. The weapon evolves with its wielder, growing darker and more intimately bound, allowing Virelia to begin exerting minor influence on the wielder of the weapon.
- Unnatural Precision: The blade strikes with unnatural keenness when driven by will—it can cut through Force barriers and some alchemized materials when fed enough emotion.

- Emotionally Dependent: The blade destabilizes if used without anger, pain, or sacrifice. Wielding it while calm or without intent causes the energy to flicker or collapse entirely.
- Cannot Be Wielded by Another: Any other being attempting to use the sword will find it inert—or worse, consumed by it. It rejects new owners violently.
- Valaine's Blood Is the Fuse: Extensive use bleeds her in turn. Each activation demands a tithe—prolonged battles will wear her down physically and psychologically.
- Visible, Loud, and Obvious: The blade emits a constant howling shriek when ignited, audible through the Force. Stealth is impossible while it is active.
- Force Nullification: In areas affected by Force suppression or nullification (e.g. Ysalamiri fields, Voidstones, or Absencite exposure), the blade will not deactivate outright—but it will degrade. Its edge becomes unstable, its strength diminishes, and it can no longer pierce alchemized or heavily shielded materials. The weapon becomes little more than a flickering torch—still dangerous, but mortal.
"It has no crystal. No core. No reason to exist. It just screams."
Classified as a parasitic Force-reactive weapon, the [REDACTED] (commonly referred to as "the Ashblade") is believed to be a one-off alchemical artifact retrieved from a collapsed Sith tomb deep in the Valley of Golg. No traditional ignition system. No kyber resonance. No schematics. Only blood.
The weapon activates only when fed with fresh biological material—ideally the blood of its attuned wielder. On activation, it emits a semi-coherent blade of unstable, volatile energy resembling an intersection of a plasma filament and a Dark Side tether. The resulting effect is more akin to a focused scream than a lightsaber: unpredictable, jagged, and violently resonant with Force entities.
Field performance suggests the Ashblade "feeds" off the Force signatures of its kills. Against spirits, wraiths, Sithspawn, or other semi-corporeal anomalies, the weapon exhibits abnormal absorption behavior, often resulting in residual psychological imprinting on the wielder. (Note: subject exhibited mild temporal displacement after prolonged exposure—further study classified.)
The blade cannot be wielded by another without catastrophic backlash. Attempts to reverse-engineer the ignition ritual have resulted in spontaneous system corruption, seizure, or liquefaction of test subjects.
