PRODUCTION INFORMATION

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Multipurpose
  • Weight: Very Light
  • Resistances: Low
    • Energy: Low The mask will displace low energy rounds and though the mask will survive most damage it will transfer the kinetic and thermal energy to the wearer for most weapons as powerful as heavy blaster pistols
    • Kinetic: Low Similarly the mask will displace low caliber kinetic rounds and most cutting weapons. The mask will survive, again, most damage thanks to its darkside energy - but will transfer kinetic energy to the user and risk death or unconsciousness
    • Lightsabers: Low The mask can easily deflect glancing blows from sabers without harm to the user - direct blows or sustained pressure from a saber are one of the few things that will damage the mask. The user would likely die under such circumstances, however, before the mask would be destroyed.
    • Other: Low The mask provides a blanket of low-grade protection against most damaging effects

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The Raskava masks were not crafted with traditional protection for the user in mind. Instead the Holocron Eater masks were crafted with the sole intent being the gradual strengthening of the masks through the force over time. The mask itself was crafted using Force Imbuement and is itself nearly indestructible - though it partly accomplishes this by transferring excessive energy to the user.

  • The Imbuement allowed the mask to gradually retain the energy and experiences of its wearers, strengthening the artifact and allowing its users to call upon it to strengthen their own resolve. One ability granted to wearers of this mask is accelerated Force Healing and Revitalization while being worn.

  • The mask retains imprints of its previous owners and their experiences, creating a chaotic force signature that - when sensed - feels more like a swirl of presences and emotions. This masks the wearer's own force signature and allows the wearer to call upon the experiences imprinted on the mask to strike at a target with Force Fear.

STRENGTHS
  • The Mask provides its wearer with increased healing ability and can help push the wearer through serious wounds
  • The Mask retains the experiences of its previous wearers and thus can be used for intense bursts of Force Fear
  • The Mask hides the wearer's force signature
  • The Mask itself is nearly indestructible except under extreme circumstances (thrown into a sun, continues pressure from a lightsaber, etc)

WEAKNESSES
  • The mask provides only low level protection from most attacks and only protects the user's face
  • The mask has a darkside force signature that cannot be masked
  • The mask is easily recognizable

DESCRIPTION
The Artisan's Mask, like most Holocron Eater Demon Masks, was crafted to display the visage of a Devilsquid with Alusteel. However, the creator of this particular mask was Kadence Morell - an artistically inclined member of the original Holocron Eaters. Morell was a vane man who refused to pour his own energies into a mask that was not unique in of itself and thus created The Artisan's Mask using thin plates of several metals to create a one-of-a-kind mask. The patterns of the mask begin at the top of the head where plates of Trimantium create a round head meant to give the appearance of the round proportions of a squid's head. Plates of Xonolite and Frasium continue this pattern down the mask and around the eyes to create an abstract piece of art that allows the mask an ominous appearance. To appease the dictate of the rest of the founders, Morell then took darker pieces Alusteel and fused them with the rest of the solid piece to create the tentacled patterns of a Devilsquid.

After Morell's passing the mask was given to his successor and has been handed down through the Holocron Eaters for generations until ending up with Zeno Dremati.
