The Arkania Holocron

OOC - PM first please.
Ambria.

Something had brought her to this location once before, though the last time she came, she ended up selling half of her belongings to a trader who gave her a map that led her half-way across the galaxy to a sign that simply said "You got suckered..." She didn't think it was funny, but Rowdy did. She had never heard the end of it from her R9 unit since they left that damned planet and she doubted she would not hear the end of it until she shut the little guy off.

It didn't matter anyways, she knew the trick now and if the little rat bastard had stuck around, she would ensure he paid the price for that stunt. She grumbled under breath as Rowdy approached her from the side and beeped a confirmation tone at her. She sighed heavily and nodded to the little droid. "Yes, we're headed back to Ambria."

The droid wailed and warbled before spinning in place. "I personally don't care if you don't like it there or not, we have to go back..." She said as she rose up from the pilot's seat of her YTA-1300 and placed a hand on the R9 Unit. "I have a feeling it's there, somewhere." She offered him a soft smile before moving out of the cockpit and down the corridor. "Besides, we're still compiling the information we gathered on the names Merrill gave us, which is going to take time!" She yelled back at the droid as he followed her into the galley.

She opened up the small refrigerator unit and sifted around some items. "Ah, remind me next time to stock up on Jawa Juice and Blue Milk..."

Maria was with her master on the way to Ambria, and she didn't even know why she had wanted to come. Maybe it was because unlike some people, she was loyal to her master. Or maybe she had just wanted to come. Anyways, on the ship with Master Rekali she was, and waited until they would reach the planet they wanted to go to. To be honest, she didn't know why they were there, but she eagerly waited. For whatever was about come.

Stepping towards the master, she was full of thoughts. Of what kind of a person the woman, a new master of Maria's, is. After all, she had basically just assigned to her and neither of them knew each other.

And then she stopped and just stood there. It was awkward. But she didn't know what to do. Should she... talk to her, maybe? But about what? Joining the Jedi may have been a great deed, but she didn't feel quite good with all these people she didn't know. Having to meet everybody and get new friends was like a horrible dream.

Yes, the woman was not socially awkward, nor was she an introvert, but... she was more unsure about her actions.

Aaralyn raised an eyebrow at [member="Maria Natalja"] and motioned towards a seat next to her. "Have a seat, and please relax." She chuckled softly. "I can sense your tension...as can probably every other Jedi in the known universe." She would offer the other woman a smile before turning her gaze to a side viewport. "I can't promise I'll be good company, but I can try." She laughed a bit and motioned. "I'm sure between [member="Shaw McKeller"] and Rowdy, we'll be there in no time."

Maria nodded and walked to the seat, then sat down. Why was she so unconfident? She had changed allegiances, but really, she was in good hands now and she really believed with the right help, she could erase any Dark Side presence in her. It was her first... meeting with another Jedi other than the Grandmaster herself, and that's why she was also a bit afraid of what she would do to her. Not all Jedi were that calm and nice, just like not all Sith were full of anger and rage.

"I can't promise I'll be good company, but I can try."

"That's OK, I guess," Maria spoke, her voice a bit trembling. Not too much, but still... It was strange to be suddenly in a completely different place, with completely different people. The Dark Side had been a wonderful thing, but now, as a Lightsider, everything was much... easier? No, easier wasn't how Maria felt. Maybe... nicer?

Then Maria smiled, too. Why was she so terrified of everything? She had been a strong, noble lady, but now she acted and seemed like a little girl. What had brought such a change?

Aaralyn chuckled softly. "Why is it you seem so afraid? Or is afraid a good word?" She said as she brought a hand up to her chin in thought. "Maybe timid?" She motioned towards the other woman. "Yeah, timid would work in this particular case."

"It's just... I am so new to all this Jedi thing and I don't feel so sure about anything over here. I have lived my whole life as a believer of the Dark Side of the Force and now that I am here, I feel like I am a baby again, life is about to begin and I know basically nothing," Maria spoke. She had been so confident on the other side, she had known much about it. But now it was a new page, a new beginning. Looks like she was afraid of beginnings, maybe.

"Sometimes it's nice to start fresh." Aaralyn kicked her feet up onto the table close to the two of them. "You're uncertain because these new feelings you have inside are genuine, they're something you were taught to bury. Now you have the ability to truly be free and express yourself." She laughed a bit. "Sounds odd, I know." She offered her a smile again before leaning back into the chair. "It's not that odd though when you look at it, you're not bound by aggression and negative emotions. You're able to finally hear what your mind has to say instead of it being clouded by darkness. Make sense?"

"Indeed. I guess this is why I don't feel quite right. Anger and passion were formerly my only emotions. Now... I can't feel them anymore. but more importantly, serenity, peace... I have never felt them before," Maria said. Thanks to the Master, she had just come to understand what doesn't feel quite right about her, about the Light Side of the Force. But there was indeed one thing she missed about the other side. Passion. It had driven her life before, had made her wake up in the mornings. Now, it was no more. Jedi weren't driven by passion, so that was really a shame. Though she understood why was it so.

She smiled again.

"Thank you!"
