  • Astronomical Location Name: The The Ark of the Monolith
  • Classification: Sith Temple/Nexus anomaly
  • Location: Vixnix
  • Rotational Period: 53 Standard Days
  • Orbital Period: 210 Local Days
  • Size: Massive
  • Affiliation: Believed to be Sith in origins
  • Population: Devoid Of Life
  • Demographics: None
  • Accessibility: Getting to it is difficult as there is no known way to get into the inner temples, but historians believe that there are entry points within the temple monoliths, which only respond to force users. No known records of how this is accomplished have ever been found in archives and Sith Diaspora galaxy-wide. Still, it will continue to ooze strange anomalies in the force several times in a year, attracting Explorers who are connected to the force.
  • Description: Massive crystal monoliths mark a huge Sith Temple forgotten for several millennia, inside is cavernous and contain metal rings embedded into walls and floors. They are believed to channel the nexus and focus it. But since no one has ever lived in the temple since its abandonment, the rings and their purpose has been lost to the sands of time. The temple also contains statues and tombs that represented those who walked the halls and completed rituals. Most of the inner sanctum is untouched and unexposed to outsiders. What is seen is only one-tenth of its size.

  • Crystal Monoliths: Ancient, unyielding and absolute, they stand unmoved by time and environment, they stand as a testament to the ancient sith presence. Today they vibrate with intense energy only sensed by Force Users. It triggers honing instincts within Sith and guides them to the Temple below. Non-Force Users will never sense these vibrations or that these monoliths have discernible significance. They are made from a dense crystal not known or found in the Galaxy.
  • 2. Gates of the Sith: Large, circular structures embedded under the Monoliths, this is where the nexus is located, the nexus itself keeps the rings stable and aloft. It is believed that they are the conduit that focuses the Force and keeps it within the temple itself. No one knows who made them or what with them, but they do know they were used in the manner described
  • 3. Sanctuary of the Sith: The inner sanctum, filled with Holocrons tucked neatly into rows all around the walls, each one containing memories and scriptures all but forgotten. The Sanctum is cavernous and could at one point house 10 million Sith Pilgrims. But time was not kind and now the ornate interior has since been home to the local flora, fauna and fungi.

  • 1. Darkness Consumes: Lightsiders are repelled by the radiations from the Darkness that clings to the Temple, they will instinctively avoid its corrupting aura and start to fall if they come any closer, while Darksiders is pulled towards it as if called by the force itself. Which made Pilgrimages a necessity in ancient times.
  • 2. Chalice of despair: Remaining for too long will create an upswell of despair and emptiness that will consume those who walk through the ruins, this applies if the visitor is a Lightsider. Which will cause a loss of motivation and will to live. Once on the surface, these effects will linger until they leave the area.
  • 3. Sith Lord Cometh: The heart of the temple is a rip within the nexus, a powerful Lord of the Sith can touch and harness the pocket of Darkside energy itself. Gaining power and knowledge that they cannot harness outside the Temple itself. Effects are permanent and can be passed through onto others through pilgrimage and communion through oral tradition.

  • 1. Spatial Anomaly: The monoliths glitch and distort when looked at, the reality looked off and the uncanny sense that it may not even be there, this confuses and causes the location to be hard if not impossible to pin down the exact location.
  • 2. Temporal Anomaly: Time flickers and moves erratically, outside is either fast or slow or completely freezes. Those who do get to it often find that an hour here is a month on the outside or more, the whole concept of time falls apart.
  • 3. Electrical Anomaly: Sensors, navigation and all forms of transport do not function here, so getting to the Temple is accomplished on foot or a beast of burden. Which complicates the difficulty of getting there.

Aeons ago in a long-forgotten time, Sith Built this temple to the Darkside around a nexus point, it was designed to house those who wished to remain rooted in the Force. Soon others, who were pilgrims from all corners of the galaxy to convene as a month-long Enclave to study and perform alchemy rituals. This was common for millennia before the Sith that lived there simply vanished and the Temple left to decay, the reason or mechanisms of the abrupt abandonment is unknown. Some say it was decreasing Sith Numbers or simply being forgotten.

Most modern Sith forgot about the temple and its significance. No one knows how they built it or what materials they used and to this day very few people know of its location and significance. But the Nexus is still alive and highly active, sending ripples through the force at erratic but oddly specific times, giving small hints that it is still here and very much alive and luring Sith and other Force users back.

What secrets does this temple hold, I wonder?
