Intent: A King needs a crown, amirite?
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: Darth Carnifex
Model: Crown of the King of Panatha
Affiliation: The King of Panatha
Modularity: Nein
Production: Unique
Material: Omegium & Rubies

Strengths:

  • Resistant to penetrative radioactivity. (Omegium)
  • High tensile strength. (Omegium)
  • Highly conductive. (Omegium)
  • Looks super regal
Weaknesses:
  • Low ductility, things created from Omegium are more apt to break without plastic deformity rather than bow or bend. In simple terms, it is not very flexible. (Omegium)
  • High conductivity means greater potential heat factor, meaning that Omegium will reach a higher temperature than Durasteel when exposed to the same heat index for an allotted period of time. This would make it less suitable for heat-resistant materials as it would actually increase the rate at which it reaches a given temperature. (Omegium)
  • Not enough spoopy spikes

Description: Every king needs his crown, and for many years the Dark Lord Carnifex had been bereft of an official headdress to denote his position as political and spiritual leader of the Epicanthix people. Throughout his reign he'd gone through many differing crowns, but each of them had been lost on a different battlefield during the tumultuous Great War between the One Sith Empire and the Grand Republic. It wasn't until the Omega War that the Dark Lord would happen upon a material so dark and enigmatic that would prove useful in the creation of a new crown.

In the great smelt houses of Canthar the God-King painstakingly toiled to bend the dark metal to his will, shaping it with hammer and anvil until he was able to forge the Omegium into the shape of a circlet perfectly fitted for his head. In intricate detail he could inscribe ancient Sith and Epicanthix imagery into the metal, each image depicting some grand event in their histories. Large square-cut rubies were then embedded around the outside of the crown to complete the ornamentation.
