Description: The Ankarres Sapphire is a tall tale, a treasure hunter's dream, and a healer's panacea. On par with the Healing Crystals of Fire, though less powerful than the Kaiburr Crystal at the Temple of Mimban, it is one of the most powerful Force-related healing artifacts in the universe. When acquired at auction, the third-place bid was almost thirty million credits; the second-place bid was fifteen million credits and a masterwork alchemical creation; and the winning bid was the location of Rave Merrill's personal armour. To call it legendary is not an exaggeration.
- (+) Without the deliberate focus of its owner, it can bolster their natural healing rate, bodily resilience, strength, and physical dexterity by a non-negligible degree. It does not guarantee perfect health or instant recovery, but certainly quickens and strengthens many bodily processes for the wielder, primarily focused on healing. It should be noted that this artifact is a subtle and Light-oriented one, more in tune with the mystic nature of the Force than with any desire for a quick fix. It is an item of wonder, not a key to invincibility.
- (+) With deliberate focus, it can be a major aid to Force healing, proportional to the power and skill of the user, and regardless of if the healing's target is the user or another.
- (+) Thousands of years ago, it was cut to serve as a lightsabre crystal. The above benefits apply whether the crystal is inside or outside of a lightsabre.
- (+/-) When held by a Darksider, the sapphire heats up to the point where it can scorch flesh. Note that a powerful Sith Alchemist could reverse the sapphire's orientation so that it would burn Lightsiders instead.
- (-) The Ankarres Sapphire is a very powerful, if subtle, Force artifact. As such, it is relatively easy to detect with the Force, potentially compromising stealth.
Primary Source: Most of the above information found in The Ankarres Sapphire. Some details extrapolated from the crystal's game properties, as found here.
