Private The Anguished Fallen

He felt the gathering power in the Force a heartbeat before she unleashed it.

The blast sent him stumbling forward, lurching, body nearly tumbling over. Nearly. He rooted himself to the ground, inverting gravity and inertia with a thought. Had he been in his armor, the weight of it might have carried him over the edge before he had the time to think.

The man turned toward her, fire in his eyes.

“Anger. Hate. Not a Jedi after all, it seems.”

His lips twisted in a sneer, even as he held a hand at his side, the Dark Side welling in his palm lest she try another attempt on his life.

“Why would I mold you? We have only just met. You are a fire. I would not mold a fire. Would not seek to tame it. That is the foolishness of the Jedi.”

Eloise Dinn Eloise Dinn

Eloise watched as he stumbled to a halt, holding his ground. She could sense the power concentrated in the palm of his hand, ready to be unleashed at a moment's notice. But she had caught him off guard.

“Anger. Hate. Not a Jedi after all, it seems.”

She laughed at him. "You wish!" He'd said she was a Jedi when they first met. Nothing had changed in the mere minutes since then.

"That's the stupidity of the Sith. They think the good guys aren't allowed to get angry!" She advanced toward him as if to pin him against the edge, permitting no escape past her. "As if we're supposed to lay down and take everything you throw at us passively. I am not passive!"

In one fluid motion she drew her lightsaber, activated it with a snap-hiss, then brought it down in an arc toward his arm, aiming to cut it off at the elbow.
