Appearing as a fairly archaic trinket or necklace this Sith Amulet acts as a powerful Shielding Talisman that protects its wearer from all forms of energy based attacks, including those generated by the Force. The Talisman is generally worn around the neck of the wearer where it hangs freely, it does not need to be worn openly for its protection to take affect and can be hidden beneath clothing, etc.
Energy absorbed by the talisman is stored either as a power source ensuring that it continues to function or as a reservoir of power for its wearer to use. Drawing from the power of the talisman adds to the abilities of the wearer and can assist them in truly monumental shows of force however all uses of the force, whether for good or not are invariably tainted by the darkside. If the talisman's store of energy is ever depleted it will go dormant until it is infused with energy again by its wearer at which point it will function normally again.

STRENGTHS
Energy Absorption: Like other Sith Amulets known as 'Shield Talismans' it absorbs energy be that from blasters, lightsabers or even the force storing it as an energy source. Regular blastefire and lightsaber attacks will find it extremely difficult to penetrate the protection of the talisman and even hard hitting disruptor fire is warded to some extent though the hitting shots will transmit some amount of kinetic force through the talismans protection.
Reserves of Power: The Energy absorbed by the talisman is stored either as a power source for the talisman itself or to be used as a reservoir of power for its wearer. Anyone donning the talisman can draw upon its stores of power and use them to amplify their abilities. Obviously dependant on how much energy the talisman is currently storing this can equate to some truly monumental shows of force.
WEAKNESSES
Not Impenetrable: The Talisman provides almost unparalleled protection against energy based attacks, it provides no protection against anything else. While bullets are essentially seen as low-tech in the galaxy they penetrate the protection of the talisman easily as do sonic attacks and anything involving the elements. Vibroblades, etc as well as their low-tech counterparts are likewise unimpeded by the talisman. Obviously anything that negates the Force or creates an area where the Force cannot function also removes all protection the talisman provides.
Force Nullification: Where the force ceases to function, is nullified or suppressed the amulet likewise ceases to function as do all of its defensive properties. When the amulet is no longer under these effects or is taken outside of the area of nullification it functions again as normal.
Darkside Taint: The Talisman was created using a combination of Alchemy and Sorcery and carries the taint of the darkside with it, Jedi will sense it. While not necessarily a weakness for the Sith the talisman also has a corrupting influence for anyone not aligned with the Darkside of the Force. If a Jedi dons it this corruption will eventually affect them.
