The Aing-Tii - Part One - So a Jedi, Sith and Dark Jedi are all in a Bar?

Setting
Clearly someone needed to clean up a little. Each table was dirty, covered with years of grime and dirt. Each seat was covered in dust and ash and a few even had blood on them. It was a safe bet to assume that "The Eagle Eye" Cantina was a shady place, shady indeed.

Slowly the band set out a tune, much to the dislike of one of the drinkers. He shoots the drummer, and the band just continue playing as a few guys replace him. It would be safe to assume the Cantina on Nal Hutta was a safe place for anyone to to business, especially for those who don't want to be overheard....

Jardo

Jardo sat in the corner, unsure of who was going to answer his call. He hadn't let anyone know what they were going to be doing, just that he was after a group of explorers and a guy with a ship. A ship they could call home for a few months.

He was sure that the Aing-Tii would take a few months to do a deal with, from what he'd read they were naturally hidden creatures. He didn't know anyone who'd successfully made a deal with them, apart from the Skywalkers and Jacen Solo.

Flow Walking was his own plan though, he wasn't telling anyone that. He was going to pry it from the Aing-Tii, no matter how long it took. It was this that had led him to gather all of his credits, everything he had to buy food for this trip.

He hoped that the ship he picked would be big enough. He needed a cruiser if possible, but he guessed a decent sided fighter would do. Anything that could fit a group in to be honest. He had thought about paying a visit to [member="Xander Black"] and grabbing the ship that Sempra the Hutt had given him, but he wanted something small enough to navigate the Rift while being big enough to hold the force.

The rift, that was the scary part. He wanted to know that his pilot was going to be able to navigate while under the influence of mind altering rift juice. He'd heard stories about what the rift did to a person, and he'd of liked it if he could get away without being hit.

OOC
So yeah, part one of this drama. Lets get this going! Plus, who likes the layout? Suggest colours!

Someone had sent out a call for adventurers and a guy with a ship. Kara qualified as both, more or less. As long as guy was being used as a generic for person. She had a ship anyway, that was probably the more important part. The Like You Stole It was in good repair, and she was happy to have an excuse to get it, and herself, off Kirima for a while. She just hoped her new companions weren’t slobs, she’d gotten really used to the level of cleanliness that a professional cleaning staff implied.

The cantina was certainly not up to that standard. Mother would be absolutely horrified to see her heir enter a place like this. It was probably a good thing that she’d been light on the details about this adventure. This place was shady by any standard, and if this had been a social gathering she would have turned around and left.

To say that Kara stood out was an understatement. She wasn’t decked out in the royal jewels, but her armor was clean and obviously of high quality. There were some looks thrown her way, some of them uncomfortably close to being leers. She put a warning hand on the hilt of her lightsaber, and slid into a seat across from the person she was supposed to be meeting. “I understand that you’re looking for a pilot?”

A figure in a brown cloak, not exposing their body or face, would make his way into the cantina. A call had been sent out for explorers of some sort. He wasn't sure why, but he'd been asked for specifically, or at least put on some kind of list on the message list, and so he would arrive. He didn't show his face, or state his name. But he would approach the man that matched the description that he had been given. His force presence was hidden... All people would see was a brown cloak and hood, and a march with purpose toward the table.

Why was he here? Simple. Curiosity... Wonder. Wondering perhaps if there was something to this trip that would lead to something interesting. A thrill, maybe... Or maybe something much more.

He would stop in front of the man and his compatriots, tilting his hooded head. And finally, he spoke.

"I understand that you were looking for people?"

'Why not?' Khotaa thought as he saw the need for explorers. It may or may not pay out in the end, but it's the one thing Khotaa couldn't really say no too. At least the food would be paid for.

As he entered the dirty bar, he was barely able to identify the man he was looking for. He was looking for someone more upbeat, maybe even someone who was actively looking for his explorers? Who knows, in all honesty, if the guy was even here? Who just asks people to explore a planet? Some scientists or species analyzers? Since the case turned out be this young man, he wasn't sure that this was just an exploration. This man was looking for something, and wanted others to come. Was it guarded? Dangerous? Khotaa reconsidered joining the group at all.

"Jardo Snow?" He asked as he looked at the small group that had formed so far. He didn't know who it was for sure, but he had the right man when he stuck out his hand and it was met.

"Thanks for the adventure. Can't wait to get started, how many more we expecting?"

This would be interesting indeed.

He almost smiled at the turn out. He knew this wasn't the full amount, but it was good enough. He sipped his drink lightly, eyes flicking between each person in turn. He was interested in each of them, he was aware he was going to be spending just a few months with them. He smirked, nodding.

"Ladies and Gents. My pleasure to meet all of you. The job pays well, all you need to do is make sure you learn. We are paying a visit into the Kathol Rift in search for something that might or might not be there while being attacked by hallucinations. If that turns anyone off, you might want to walk away now if you'd like"

He chuckled, waiting for answers.

"Kathol Rift, well that sounds . . . fun?" Kara say back in her chair, trying to gauge how stupid someone would have to be to try something like this. Her rough estimation was very. Anyone who wan't walking away right now was very, very stupid. That place was supposedly treacherous to navigate and known to cause hallucinations to anyone foolish enough to make the attempt. "I hope no one hates spiders, because personally I think they're kind of cute."

The Rift was common Spacer talk. Everyone knew a guy who knew a guy who had tried it only to to either never be seen again or had turned back once things had gotten too crazy. Said crazy usually involved spiders or something else that crawled. There were others stories, but those were the common ones. It wasn't something she'd ever actually considered doing for herself since it was crazy.

"Do we have a particularly compelling motivation to try this?" This guy couldn't just be asking people to try something like this on a whim. Kara wanted to know why before she decided one way or another. It better be something pretty good though. A lot guys who knew guys she knew had supposedly never come back from that place. There was a chance that everyone who signed on could end up dead.

The Jedi would smile a bit at the idea of hallucinations... He wondered... Were they Mental Force attacks? If so, he might have a counter.. He'd started wearing it again when Matsu had brought it up. Of course, it had it's side effects, and it was one of the reasons he hadn't worn it while he was with the Order, since he'd been accustomed to assistance via Battle Meditation that this little gem would have negated entirely, but he still hadn't worn it until recently just out of habit. He supposed he'd find out when they got there. If it was... Well, he'd be able to help out the others hopefully.

"If you find any spiders, sweetheart, you might want to be the one to get them to safety, because I doubt everyone else is as welcoming" The Jedi would tease with a chuckle beneath the robes, his face still hidden but the laugh evident. "I'm curious as well about the motivations for this.... Do tell, good sir"
