The Aftermath

Coruscant still stood, even though it was a bit in ruins around the Temple area, the Sith retained their home planet. It was surprising that the few that had remained there to train actually were able to beat back a wave of Jedi and keep them from whatever their goals were. Some were lost of course but not her.

No, Nyte still stood at the end of the battle, though that standing part wasn't exactly true. Passed out was more of the case, both she and [member="Xavka Duquo"] were rescued from the rubble and brought to the hospital. She sighed, her eyes felt heavy as she slowly woke back up, surrounded by people staring at her.

She frowned, trying to form the words to ask for her partner, he had sustained more serious injuries than she had. Somehow she survived the crushing blows of rubble and temple pieces and she knew her barrier had thankfully held up until she went unconscious, "Where is Xavka Duquo?"

"Your friend was hurt very badly, we have done all that we can for now."

She frowned and sat up quickly, the doctors rushing to press her back into bed and she shoved them away from her, "No, I must see him."

"He isn't recovering as we want him, it's not good for him to have a visitor."

Nyte growled and balled her fists quickly then released her control, sending out a fast wave of Force energy, "I am going to see him. He needs me to be beside him, he is Zabrak, tai'shan, do you know of it?"

It was as if something clicked with the doctors and they nodded finally, moving to help her get up, her entire midsection was wrapped in gauze, her chest and arms as well, her head wasn't too badly damaged though, thankfully as she followed them to the room he was kept in a bed.

Nyte frowned, looking over at the emptied tank, "Why is he not in a kolto tank?"

"He did not respond to it, we have bacta patches on his wounds now though, we thought that maybe for his injuries being so deep that would be better."

Nyte frowned and grabbed a chair and pulled it up along the bed and then she laid her head on his shoulder, reaching to place her hands on his hearts and whispered very lightly in his ear, "I'Palira, Shuree yema fro i'shuree et sharee, remember? Taret, jendore and ama. Yeto yol, please, accept their healing."

So, there Nyte stayed with Xavka for another couple of days before they saw signs of improvement. She watched as each change the infection in his wounds cleared and that made her smile. She stayed in his room, waiting now for him to just wake up, she would not leave him.

Xavka emerged from his rest without any sign of doing so. His breathing remained the same, his body didn't move, nothing changed other than his state of consciousness. Reaching out with his senses, Xavka tried to evaluate where he was.

The smell of cleanliness and antisceptic fluids along with blood and death filled his nose. The taste of clean air stung his tongue. The sound of steadily beeping machines, respirators and shuffling droids filled his ears. He could feel numerous tubes on his skin, and cannulas underneath his skin. A hospital then.

Slowly, his eyes flickered open, exposing their change to the world. When he had called the Force to him in the earlier fight, the Darkness had ran through his body and ended up corrupting it. His once yellow eyes were now a deep orange.

Lifting himself up against his pillows, propping himself into a sitting position. Xavka reached down and began to remove the cannulas along his arms, slowly removing them with preciseness born from experience of doing so. He had just removed the third one when the door to his left slid open with a hiss and his eyes flickered over to see who it was entering, drawn by the sound of the opening door.
