THE BIRTH OF AN INITIATIVE

For years, the One Sith had the galaxy in it's clutches. From the Deep Core to the Inner Rim, their reaches seemed limitless. Between crushing their democratic rival the Galactic Republic on Togoria and combating the warmongering Mandalorian Clans on Alderaan, their legacy was felt deep and can still be found in today's modern galaxy, even despite their swift and sudden collapse.

Remnants from the One Sith's military forces followed Executor Isamu Baelor into the Unknown Regions to Csilla, where the fledgling Iron Empire gained it's start. One Sith loyalist resistance was thick, but in the end the Iron Empire overcame. Their mettle was tested in the Crossbones Conflict, fighting a self-proclaimed king and his band of pirates. After establishing a foothold in that corner of the galaxy, Rear Admiral Zeradias Mant of the Iron Empire Navy secretly formed a classified military project, something known henceforth as the Aegis Initiative.

Though recognizing the honor in the emperor's desire for the Iron Empire's future, Admiral Mant held a different view. By confining themselves to the Unknown Regions, they limited their abilities to liberate and protect. Structured in such a way where he had complete control over the autonomous initiative, Mant mobilized Battlegroup Gryphon to search for a place they'd call home.

Looking to establish a foothold in the system of Onderon, the Aegis Initiative has begun a campaign of galactic outreach to make their presence known on the galactic stage. From assisting the Commonwealth on Alexandria with the insurrection of the Black Tie Syndicate to the military cooperation agreement forged with the Government of Commenor, the Aegis Initiative has already made significant strides to make themselves a known player in galactic events.

AVENUES OF APPROACH

The Aegis Initiative is a military faction, first and foremost. Though military service is required, you don't need to be a frontline combatant or a fleeting admiral to join. You can be an servicemember in the Initiative and never see a day of combat in your life. The Aegis Initiative's self-sustaining function model supports all walks of life and allows writers to serve in countless positions.

Want to work on the corporate side with private companies? We're looking for Acquisition Officers.
Interested in travel, participating in diplomatic delegations? We could use some Government Relations Officers.
Perhaps you like inventing and building things? Design Architects and Combat Engineers all have a place among us.
Maybe you want to be a grunt, or even a spec ops soldier? Our Marine Corps has a wide array of combat functions for you to augment.

A unique feature of the Aegis Initiative is the lack of a dedicated Force user corps. Instead, Force users are integrated into the ranks of the naval and marine forces and are treated the same as every other. We encourage Force users to use their talents and abilities to augment their skillset and in consequence, increase the power of the Aegis Initiative. However, no one individual is granted any degree of favoritism because of their use in the Force.

It is also our mission to promote writer and character growth. We enjoy rewarding writers for their good work and are working on implementing an award system so characters can collect accolades for their achievements and service. Additionally, our member roster is unique in that it displays not just characters' names, but also their rank, duty position, as well as a brief biography so anyone visiting the faction page can get a feel for their character at a glance. CAMPAIGN OBJECTIVES

The primary goal of the Aegis Initiative is to provide a dedicated faction for roleplayers interested in military RP as well to provide those who may have little experience in it with a place to break the mold and try something new. We hope to provide an active, rewarding, and ultimately fun experience for those who join us.

Our immediate objectives are as follows:
  • Increase visibility and presence of the faction through active participation in public roleplay. This is done through forging relationships and alliances, corporate contracts, and assisting factions with invasions, rebellions, and dominions.
  • Establishing a permanent foothold in the galaxy. We are currently working on setting up a military base in Onderon as well as several satellite bases and embassies through diplomatic relations and military partnerships.
  • Increase our member base to experience all walks of roleplay. We'd like to expose our members to a little bit of everything so they might diversify their portfolio as both a writer and character, all the while making the Initiative a collective of talented writers and colorful characters.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, we welcome you to ask here or contact a member of faction administration. You can check out our faction page here and/or join our Discord channel here.
