APPEARANCE:
Thalia was petite with a youthful appearance, even for her age. Naturally she had curly dark brown hair, though she usually kept it straight for military purposes. She had light brown skin and animated dark brown eyes which could take the form of sharp daggers or soft puppy dog at will. She had electro-tattoos on her right arm up to her neck, just where a Humbarine military uniform would cover, which she used to discretely carry credits and other information.
BIOGRAPHY:
Thalia Cruz was born to an affluent military family on Humbarine. Throughout its history the family had played the cards of whoever held power over the world, shifting support from company to company, regime to regime, as long as they were able to keep their status. Infighting within the family was also common, leading to several spats of violence and betrayal throughout its history. Despite their ruthless reputation, their family's military service outshone even that blemish as they pumped out star officer after star officer. When Lord Admiral Bao took control of Humbarine and the Admiralty rose to power the Cruz family also rose to higher heights than ever before due to their oldest son and heir to the Cruz family name being a high ranking Commodore who served directly beneath one of Admiral Bao's strongest supporters.
Thalia was the youngest of six children, all of which had gone and joined the Humbarine navy or entered Humbarine politics. Thalia on the other hand, still young, found the military life of a a tad boring. But life was happening all around her quickly, and her parents were beginning to tire with her antics. Despite being sent off to military boarding school she'd managed to sneak off several times to go swoop racing through the slums of the city planet. Each time, her spoiled shebs had made some silly obvious mistake that had gotten her caught forcing her to frequently cover for her less fortunate friends who could have been thrown in prison for the things they did while running about. Eventually this got her removed from the school and she was forced to be home schooled after which she was enrolled in the Humbarine Officer's academy. Due to her previous screw ups however, even with her family's influence they were barely able to scrape by with getting her into the Logistics department. She excelled despite Logistics was the slowest and most terrible thing she could imagine in the Navy. However, during her second year Humbarine joined the Corellian Confederation and as a result she was given an opportunity to change her path. The school offered to move students with high enough grades facing their final two years the opportunity to serve with the Corellian Confederation Navy and join their Officer training academy. This would not only count for Humbarine Military service but also Corellian.
Having not been outside of the Humbarine System in her entire recent memory she jumped at the chance. She'd never felt quite at home on the ecumenopolis of Humbarine, but when her shuttle touched down in Coronet City it felt like she'd finally come home. Smiling in Humbarine military photos was generally looked down upon, but in her final class photo she couldn't help but give just a tiny wink and a flash of a smile.
