Thalasso-Therapy

By now Cathul's tenure as Governor of Azure was almost entirely devoted to reconstruction. She intends to take The main terraforming contracts not being awarded, in fact, the main contracts haven't been awarded and, because she is a newcomer to the scene of politics, she found it hard to actually gain the trust of other parties, such as corporations. All that she is known for as a politician dates from the beginning of the Crusade, namely that she finally gave Mandalore proper mental healthcare infrastructure. Azure's first budget included the emission of bonds to fund its reconstruction: the first batch of 50 million was bought within weeks. But, for now, she was ruling over a nearly-abandoned planet where everything needed to be rebuilt. And yet Cathul was still a therapist first and foremost. The new patient was among the very first that came on Azure since she became the governor of the planet.

"Your Grace, a new patient has arrived. Anya Loma"

"Send her in"

you will burn for this!

THE voices screamed out at her, she hadn't slept last night every time she slept they just would appear and scream at her coming with fire in their hands before she was covered in fire before screaming out and waking up in sweat

But after digging around with that sleepless night she had found a therapist...in theand alor Ian's clans for that matter something she was interested in...

So she had traveled to the clinic and was waiting her turn, she was called for and slowly entered as she looked around"hello...I am anya..I assume your the therapist?

"Ah yes, Anya, I'm the therapist. I heard your screams in the Force. How long have you been hearing those voices? When did you start hearing these voices?"

Voices by themselves were not sufficient to put a diagnosis on a patient. A description of their content was necessary. She could use the Force to get a feel for the patients' problems, and, even more so in a Force-sensitive patient than with a NFU patient, if both content and chronological beginning, there are strong suspicions of PTSD. Cathul knew that Anya was a Force-sensitive but many survivors from Kashyyyk flocked to her office in the weeks after Kashyyyk, especially those who faced the zombies after the turkeys were mostly killed. The transfer of patients from her to another Clan Lok therapist on Mandalore was rather seamless and most patients did not have a particular reason not to trust any one of the new therapists in service. And any good therapist knows that patients' trust can be fickle and no single therapist could fit all patients. But what of the baar'ure on Echoy'la that supplied her with a steady stream of patients? Will they refer them to Mandalore or to Azure? Or to Muunilinst?

"What do these voices tell you?"

She frose when she spoke Bout the screams....how did she know about the screamns...and it was from the force...what did that mean...

I've been hearing them for a week...I haven't slept since then...every time I try to sleep they just scream at me..

She said as she heard them speak again

you escape judgment!-you killed us!-all for pleasure ofrom killing!

No no no no I was messed up damnit ni!"she said aloud then stopped as she realized what she had said and took a seat as she shook her head"

They tell me...oh god...they tell me I've murdered them...they want judgment...they went me to burn as they did!"she said raising her voice slightly "I can't sleep...they won't allow mw...

"What happened last week? What did they want judgment for? I assume it has something to with fire"

Probably some trauma involving fire. Schizophrenia, PTSD, but most likely PTSD, if these voices were concurrently starting after said event happened. One does not become schizophrenic in a week before undergoing therapy. But PTSD can and does make Force-users insomniacs. Cathul knew that the patient was a Force-user, and she knew that, in Force-users, nightmares and their content, coupled with Force-voices, make diagnosis of PTSD that much easier to make. She could inflict PTSD as a spell, as well as cure it. But she'd rather not use spells for curing PTSD until she is left with absolutely no choice.

"Is this something you have nightmares about since?"

[member="Anya Loma"]

No...they started last week, they...oh..oh no...they want me to oay...they want to puNisha me for my past...no..no.no.

It was likely after having several neural path ways opened from a latest procedure that she was starting to comprehend it all...for she had murdered in the past for the thrill and now all that was happening just processed quickly

They just...just quickly started...one minute I was ok then..then boom they started!

"Who wants to punish you for these kills?"

Coming to terms with the trauma often requires, FU or not, to fully understand what caused the trauma, whether the patient could have avoided it or not. It's often very difficult to get a patient to think rationally and critically about a trauma at the early stages of one's healing process and she knew it. In NFUs PTSD often came with avoidance or hypersensitivity, and not necessarily recurring nightmares or voices. In FUs, recurring nightmares about the same trauma over and over was the mark of a person with PTSD, regardless of whether they are accompanied with voices or not. And sometimes PTSD could cause a FU to go from the light to the dark (e.g. Depa Billaba) and vice-versa.

"Post-traumatic stress syndrome is what you have. You're using your PTSD to embark on a path to redemption, you were a dark-sider... can you use Force-comprehension or Memory Enhancement?"
