DESCRIPTION
Developed by the various minds within the Trade Federation, the TF01 Droid Carrier Frigate; Orca Pattern was designed to operate as a large-scale Landing Frigate, that would ferry proverbial armies within their holds down to a Planet’s surface. The Orca was a Frigate that consisted of Five pieces - Four Detachable Cargo Pods that surrounded a Central Command and Deployment Unit. These Detachable Cargo Pods were designed to be highly modular, allowing experienced Engineers to alter the internal configuration(s) to accommodate a vast array of Cargo Crates, or various articles of War Material. If the configuration was geared towards the former, where precious items of Cargo needed to be safely stored and transported, the Orca would be able to ferry a great deal Freight - but would sacrifice all of it’s internal storage space to do so. If the Orca was geared towards ferrying proverbial armies - then the configuration of the Cargo Pods would be outfitted to maximize their internal storage capacity, whilst retaining the automated unloading systems that would, one day, make the Orca infamous across the known universe.

The Central Command and Deployment Unit was where most, if not all, of the Droid Frigate’s operations transpired. In many regards, the Orca was a wholly automated vessel that was capable of carrying out the most simplistic tasks without any oversight. However, the exacting demands of planetary landings and the massive scope of deploying an entire army required a dedicated garrison of Pilots and Command staff to help the Orca accomplish their designated purpose(s) in life. In addition to that Command Staff, be they Organic or Synthetic, the Droid Frigate was also able to ferry a selection of Starfighters, or Support Craft - or even a small selection of both in automated deployment racks. Naturally, like the articles of War Material that were meant to be fitted into the interior of the Orca - those Auxiliary Starships would have to be synthetic in nature, as the deployment racks weren’t entirely capable of providing Organic Pilots with the room needed to board their craft.

With the Orca’s ability to a proverbial army, over a measured period of time, the Droid Frigate would become either the Heralds of Salvation, or Doom, to many Star Systems across the Galaxy.
