DESCRIPTION
Developed by the various minds within the Trade Federation, the TF01 Droid Aerial Platform; Riptide Pattern was an extremely swift and incredibly maneuverable Repulsorlift vehicle intended to fulfill a role of aggressive reconnaissance. Utilizing the powers of modern technology, the DAP was outfitted with an array of repulsorlift engines that allowed the vehicle to skate across a planet’s surface - defying the very laws of physics. These integrated systems allowed for the Platform race across the battlefield and scout enemy positions - either harassing them should the Rider choose, or simply withdrawing until Allied forces advanced. Despite all of these benefits, there came an inherent danger as such extreme speeds meant that one wrong decision could spell disaster. Adding in the possibility of a repulsorlift jammer? Well, that was a shame to anyone steering the DAP - as their fate would be sealed if they couldn’t let go of the control assembly. However, such dangers were of little concern to the designers of the Riptide, as their intent was for a selection of specially-tailored, and wholly expendable Battle Droids to Pilot this semi-automated platform.
