STRENGTHS

• (+) Sig Infused: sig gas is notorious for its energy cohesion, and thus for its armor piercing qualities. The Tetron PGD-11 detonates with a particularly vicious explosion for a non-baradium explosive, and is comparable in damage to that of a small-yield turbolaser blast.

WEAKNESSES

• (-) War Crime: the PGD-11 utilizes the controversial sig gas, a gas that has been illegal and controlled since the Bureau of Sig, Spice, and Slavery. While no modern institutions exist to regulate sig, its use in plasma munitions is highly frowned upon due to the extensive damage and burns they cause.
• (-) Arming Time: the PGD-11 is a blaster-based grenade, and utilizes select blaster components to energize its gas reservoir - the PGD-11 requires several seconds to arm and build a charge large enough to detonate.

DESCRIPTION
The Tetron PGD-11 Plasma Detonator is a Plasma Grenade that utilizes Sig Blaster Gas. Containing an internal store of highly pressurized blaster gas comparable to that of a heavy rifle, when primed an XCiter unit converts the blaster gas contained within to a highly energetic state. After three to sixty seconds, as selected by the user, the grenade activates the gas with a laser charge, detonating in a highly explosive plasma blast. The resulting explosion shares many similarities with larger plasma detonations, such as a turbolaser blast, and is the result of what would normally be hundreds of rifle rounds detonating simultaneously.

Highly controversial, Sig is known for the damage it causes in both destructive power and in terms of plasma burns; with no large supplies of baradium, however, it remains Tetron's primary means of creating high-potency hand munitions. Comparable in damage to a light turbolaser blast, or a thermal detonator, the PGD-11 is used primarily as an anti-infantry and anti-fortification munition - though, with proper placement and a well aimed throw at a weak spot, is more than capable of taking out vehicles.
