SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • (+) Half-Armor: as a type of half-armor, this armor offers excellent protection of vital organs, while offering flexibility and a lightweight design. Soldiers in this armor have a better field of vision, better mobility, and better stamina compared to soldiers in heavier and bulkier armor.
  • (+) Tempered Plating: offers excellent protection against kinetic and energy attacks, and is able to take a direct hit without failing. Compared to the Espo Armor used widely in the Corporate Sector, this armor is a grade above in quality and durability.
WEAKNESSES
  • (-) Half-Armor: the downsides of half-armor is that it does not offer full protection, and only provides protection for the vital organs (Torso and Head) while offering less protection for the rest of the body. Particularly, the legs of this armor are relatively lightly armored with just undersuit fatigues.
  • (-) Exotic Weaponry: while the armor offers protection from ambient radiation and and sonic dampers for deafening explosions, it will do little against exotic radiation weaponry or directed sonic weapons.

DESCRIPTION
The Tetron Centrex Corporate Field Armor (CFA) emerged from Tetron Centrex's growing realization that their empire of terraforming and extraction sites needed more than machinery and contractors—it needed reliable security forces that could protect their assets on the ground and maintain order among both workers and locals. In the Corporate Sector, Espo Troopers had long been the image of corporate authority, but their armor had grown outdated, brittle, and poorly adapted for the increasingly hostile environments Tetron was moving into. Harsh atmospheres, unpredictable colonies, and corporate warfare meant that Tetron could no longer rely on borrowed corporate enforcement models.

Functionally, the CFA excels in urban and frontier combat zones where mobility and vision are as important as raw protection. Its tempered ceramisteel plating ensures that blaster bolts and slugthrower rounds that would cripple Espo troops often bounce or dissipate, while its holo-HUD and targeting assessor give users tactical superiority in the field. The Synthmesh undersuit with environmental seals allows operation in unstable climates—perfect for Tetron's colonies that may be half-terraformed or resource-stripped. Its greatest advantage, however, lies in its weight-to-protection ratio: troops in CFA can march farther, react faster, and fatigue slower than counterparts in heavier, bulkier armor. This has made it popular with Tetron's colonial garrisons, who often had to double as peacekeepers, soldiers, and survivalists all in the same deployment.

In Tetron-controlled colonies, the armor has become a symbol of authority, worn by company enforcers sent to suppress labor disputes or protect mining interests from "unauthorized settlement." Though marketed by Tetron as a "civilized solution" to outdated Corporate Sector armor, the CFA has already seen heavy battlefield use—particularly on resource-rich border systems where Tetron is making its push to expand beyond the Corporate Sector's neutral borders.
