PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Tessa Rhyne is a young Cathar woman with tawny fur, darker facial markings, amber-gold eyes, and a restless, alert expression that rarely softens completely. Her mane-like hair is worn in loose braids threaded with beads and practical ties, often wind-tangled from long days spent outdoors. She has the lean, athletic build of someone raised on frontier work rather than formal training halls.

Her clothing reflects her recent deputization as a Frontier Warden: a weathered brown longcoat, reinforced shoulder and forearm guards, rugged boots, gloves, utility straps, and the winged-blade insignia of the Wardens worn proudly on her coat. Though the outfit carries a certain marshal-like authority, it is clearly built for travel, survival, and hard use rather than ceremony.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Tessa is earnest, determined, and still young enough to believe most problems can be solved if someone simply refuses to walk away. She takes her role as a Deputy Warden seriously, sometimes too seriously, and carries herself with the pride of someone who has only recently earned the right to wear the symbol.

She believes deeply in the Warden principle of standing between the vulnerable and those who would exploit them. Tessa is compassionate, brave, and quick to volunteer for danger, but she is not naïve in the soft sense. She knows the frontier can be cruel. She simply refuses to let cruelty be the final answer.

Tessa is not a Jedi and does not consider herself one. She respects the Light Side, personal freedom, local communities, and the idea that protection should never become domination.

STRENGTHS
  • Frontier Tracker: Tessa has excellent instincts for wilderness movement, scent tracking, reading terrain, and surviving in rough environments.
  • Heart of a Protector: She is courageous, compassionate, and willing to put herself in danger for others without hesitation.
  • Natural Senses: As a Cathar and Force-sensitive, Tessa has sharp perception and strong danger instincts.
  • Fast Learner: Recently deputized or not, she absorbs lessons quickly and adapts well under pressure.

WEAKNESSES
  • Inexperienced: Tessa has training, but limited independent field experience. She can misjudge situations that older Wardens would recognize immediately.
  • Too Willing to Help: Her instinct is to save everyone, even when doing so may be impossible or strategically unwise.
  • Proud of the Badge: Being freshly deputized means Tessa sometimes overcompensates, trying too hard to prove she deserves her place.
  • Emotionally Exposed: She believes attachment is natural, but she has not yet learned how to carry grief, anger, and failure without letting them steer her.

HISTORY

Tessa Rhyne was born among the remote settlements and wildlands of Almania, far from the comfortable security of major governments or formal institutions. Her childhood was shaped by frontier hardship: failing equipment, dangerous terrain, predators, raiders, bad weather, and communities that survived only because neighbors looked after one another.

Her Force sensitivity first revealed itself in small ways. She sensed storms before they broke. She knew when animals were frightened. She felt danger seconds before it arrived. For a long time, these instincts were treated as useful rather than mystical.

That changed when Tessa helped protect a group of travelers from predators in the wilderness. A passing Warden patrol recognized what she was and brought word of her to Stonewatch Hold.

Tessa eventually agreed to train with the Frontier Wardens, drawn less by the Force itself and more by their promise: to stand where others would not, to protect without ruling, and to serve the forgotten places of the galaxy.

After years as a Seeker, Tessa was formally deputized as a Warden. She now carries the winged-blade symbol with fierce pride and has begun her first true steps as a guardian of the frontier.

She is still young.

Still learning.

Still convinced that someone has to stand between the innocent and those who would take advantage of them.

So she does.
