Teru is the descendant of Qia Challo from Pantora and Colov Tolbee from Coruscant. Qia being of more civilian upbringing while Colov bore the unmistakable Miralukan heritage and worked for the Jedi Agri-Corp with his limited abilities.
HISTORY
Born without the dramatic genetic marker of those with Miralukan genetics, Qia was greatly pleased by the outcome while Colov warned her of what was possible in their son's future. Even still she held out hope for the best, while his father waited patiently to see what the Force found fit to give them.
Teru's early years were largely unremarkable, his mother noting the uncanny sense of perception even as a babe. Colov being keenly aware of his son's development given his own bloodlines and testing his son's abilities even from a young age. While Teru was able to retain his eyesight into his toddler years, eventually his genetics caught up with him and his vision began to rapidly degrade. His golden eyes losing their luster as he began to form words. Colov had warned Qia of this, but it was still troubling to watch her son depend more and more upon his connection to the Force to navigate the world.
His growing connection to the Force prompted his father to enroll him within the New Jedi Order from a young age, and Teru began his study from an early age.
Being taken under the wing of a number of knights and master's, the youngling gained a variety of metaphorical perspectives on life. His most notable being that of optimism and at times, overbearing belief in the good in others. While not disliked by his peers, his own troubles with being visually impaired often found Teru self-isolating. Often being found listening to the holo-recordings of books from the temple library.
While visually impaired, his sight through the Force began to flourish when his final Master, Nico Kaidshau, began in earnest to teach the padawan.
Grueling excursions and training to hone both mind and body to work in harmony with one another. His mind being his weakest point to begun with as his own doubts and worries had slowly consumed his confidence and cheery demeanor. The internal conflict used as a basis for the even temperance needed for Vaapad that Nico instructed him in. While not nearly as confident as others in his former padawan class, Teru began to step back into the larger scope of the galaxy and shed the reclusive tendencies he had forced upon himself.
