Terrors of Tatooine: Between Sand and Sky

The explosive crack of the shatter pistol discharging seemed to echo in the tight confines of the loading ramp as Verz shot the one with the rifle right between its 'eyes'. The rapidly cooling corpse falling down to the sand as its companion lunged with his spear, causing the Mandalorian to drop his pistol as he reflexively kicked out outward, hitting his attacker in the thigh and pushing him back.

Slowly they circled each other looking for a gap in the opponent's defenses, Verz was at the disadvantage because of the reach of the spear, so he would have to close in to finish off the last raider before his wounds got any worst.

As he circled the Raider, his mind was racing trying to figure out what the best plan was. He then had an idea. One that could mean the difference between life and death. He kicked out in a feint, and gripped his knife tightly, hoping the Tusken would take the bait

The blade sunk deep, staining the raiders robe with his blood as he collapsed on top of Verz on top of the ramp. "Chee Kul Du Rak." He mubbled with its dying breath.

The ground was littered with the corpses of dead Jawas, blaster scorched sand, against the backdrop of the burning sandcrawler. The translator droid was standing over the wounded form of a raider as it was trying to say something to it. It would appear that Verz was the lone survivor of the encounter, as the remaining raiders had vanished into the desert waste.

Verz's wounds although shallow make walking painful and stiff.

He walked over to the chief, and after a moment of thought, took the credit chip he had given him earlier. He wouldn't need it now. Verz then walked back to his ship, after grabbing anything of value, which wasn't much.

Pausing at the droid he asked if the Jawas had water, the droid replies that they did but the raiders made off with them after they torched the sand crawler. He further tells Verz that the injured raider's leg seems to be placed in a splint made from a laser cannon housing, from the look of it, fairly new. Meaning there might be a ship nearby which you could salvage for parts or supplies.

Verz made his way over to his ship and walked to the prisoner.
"I'm going to.make a decision to trust you to help if we both want to survive. If you don't help, well a human body holds plenty of water."

"You and I are going to look for water at a ship"
He didn't want to make the man uncooperative by telling him that theship in question was probably in Tusken territory, and might not even be there.
"Betray me, and I get 90 kilos of water."

"I want a weapon. I'm not going anywhere without one if raiders are about." Clearly he saw what had happened outside and wasn't too eager to tangle with raiders unarmed.

After searching the bodies, the duo found no pistols, although there were a large collection of knives, spears, bolt rifles and old style projectile throwers.
