Terracotta Cove

It was a dark ad stormy night on Kashyyyk, Wu was loking out as she was joined by a couple of the wookiees and was pouring over a few datapads to try and learn customs of the local species. She had a few ideas of what she wanted to do and investigating a small cove by the beach would help out the wookiee's themselves. Might also help her understand some fo the predators that were here on the world while the jedi master was walking around. She would need some help though, someone trained with guns and able to be trusted.. maybe.... Sukai her padawan was proving her skill against some of the pirate forces to rescue a friend. Wu didn't go since all fo the masters leaving would have been dangerous. So she sent a message to Sukai's mother... if only because the woman knew how to use guns and she had better senses then most for fidning monsters and danger.... Plus a chance to meet the woman who spawned her padawan and get embarrassing stories about her.. or maybe pictures of her in situations she wouldn't want to have seen.

The invasion but a few days ago meant the Wookie home world needed a little extra protection, and with some forces off to fight pilots and secure more space around the sector Kurenai was called in. With family ties and what not to the Order it made sense for herself to become a member, what better time then after a Sith attack, herself most likely serving as an instructor on the dark side of the force, how to resist its temptations and other stuff.

Today though the veteran solider got an interesting call form her daughters master, the odd Jin teacher who took Sukai on a tomb raiding adventure some time ago, also something about marshmallows? Whatever the case Kurenai quickly gathered her equipment together, LMG, nagamaki and other small arms, can never be to careful on the beast infested planet, or if there were some lingering Sith troopers that needed finishing off.

Arriving at the meeting location Kurenai' s gaze fell upon the rather short but well endowed woman, 'nice to see I am not the only one with large assets, I swear all the stuff I eat just goes straight to my chest'. She often wondered if Sukai would end up the same one, herself honelty not being sure if her daughter would be able to handle all the male attention, "Good day Yeoh, how goes you"?

Wu was looking at the woman when she arrived, tall, regal clad in armor and weapons.. it was a little scary at first but then she spoke and a good sense of humor.. Wu spoke her eyes wide. "I thought I was the only one." She said it while walking over and being ready for anything with an arm going up to shake.. she wasn't going to try and get to close... mostly cause she didn't know what might happen. So for now safety. "And it goes well, there has been some recovery, some help from the locals but whenever bad things happen it riles up the local creatures and one fo the places near the rest. a beach and cave area the padawans normally go to for relaxation. Well it has some new visitors that could be a problem if they are around."

She said it and was turning to walk as she had her saber setting it on her hip and a net launcher that could be used to capture some fo the smaller creatures they might just need to well relocate. Anything larger then well she had the saber and her force skills to try and use to scare them off or tame them to be around with her for now. "Sukai is a wonderful student, you raised her well and she has learned a great deal about the force so my instructions I am afraid were just review for her. She will make a great master one day perhaps if she ever wants to try for it... and I imagine compared to others she might have the time to learn a good deal about the force."

Kurenai gave a small grin as she approached the rather short woman, herself almost being 1.8 meters tall probably looking like a imposing figure, "Well I bet many Padawans line up to be taught by you". She remarked reaching out to shake Wu's hand, noting the slightly nervousness of the Jedi master, herself just sighing a little inwards, boys stared and woman glared, though being frightened of her rather imposing looks seemed to be a gender neutral thing. "Hmmm the Sith burning down much of the forest in the attack would drive many of the creatures out from their homes, I guess some extermination is in order, though it would be best to try and return some to the wild, don't want and endangered species thing happening".

She remarked following along, though a ruthless fighter in combat she was not about to harm some non-sentient being that had their home destroyed, but was preferred to defend herself if need be. "Ah well yes Sukai was the most diligent of the two, and even if your lessons so far have been more review then learning it never hurts to go over the basics, no point in being a jack of all trades but master of non". As for one day reaching master one day, "Yes I could definitely see her become one, ever searching for more knolwdge on the force, a life long goal... but what do you mean time to learn a good deal"? Did Wu know about their family being Vampires? possible Sukai may have told her, the master being the only other Jin her daughter had met so far.

Wu lookes at her and raised an eyebrpw... to the comment about padawans lining up to be taught and that was somewhat true.. maybe. Most she didn't see and fewer knew she was around but.... "Well she is Jin, at least partially. She told me that which means she is also some other species within the galaxy... she is older then she looks somewhat... so it is likely a longer lived species." She said it and was looking for indications she was getting warmer.. but she wasn't trying to out or disparage. "So she will likely live longer then me and some of the other masters. A chance to learn as much as we know and then some more." She shrugged and went out fo the rest into the open air of Kashyyyk looking towards the pathway towards the beach and the cove.

Kurenai did not make much of any expression as the two talked, listening to the small woman's words as they trod along the sandy ground, it was interesting, Wu having decent perceptive thinking, though herself being ultimately a little glad that the families vampire side reamed safe, for now. In time the order would know, each member slowly being informed one by one, the reputation of being a vampire not that... nice among Jedi, "Well I will say you are correct, her father is Riben-Jin, her long life coming from my side of the family, as well you are right Sukai may look no older then 17 but she has recently turned 19, the knight trails and all followed by a party were in order". Though that would not be, with a slight disappointing expression Kurenai would raise a hand to her mouth in a mock lament, "but alas she has run off to help in the rescue of Padawan Asa, said trails being held off". "But I know for a fact she would have passed and I know she will one day become a great master of the force". Slowly the two came into the beach cove, thee waves gently lapping against the yellow shores.

Wu listened to her and had a grin on her face.. Sukai might be a knight now but she was never the less going to be important to the jedi master. She wanted to make sure that they were going to have a good time. "We shall just have to make sure she has all of the tools she needs. I look forward to seeing what kind of a jedi she can become, or just a woman in general. Hopefully she will not succumb to temptation like many others do. I know a few on my world were joining the ranks of the Iron Empire and their darksiders to bring pain and suffering upon the world. She was looking at the beach itself and the sand was there, the cove with the caves was a ways out and she spoke. "The fastest way there is to well swim, we could wait for low ide when the caves entrance is exposed but that can be several hours from now." Wu said it while she was going and pulled out a small bag that was made to be waterproof with a nod of her head towards Kurenai. She was fine with swimming and had a swimsuit to get there that could cdouble thanks to the jedi amulet with a shield.

Though Sukai was progressing at a fine rate there was much the daughter still had to learn, just not about the Jedi but other things about the force, her powers and the Jin arts. "Well it will be interesting to see where she goes, in time the two of us will look more like sister then mother and daughter", Kurenai peaking down at her bust size a bit, "Maybe in more ways then one". "But I do not think she will ever be corrupted by the dark side, I myself have learned to keep its affects at bay, training similar to a Jedi, patients slowly bringing yourself into it, not like Sith and other darksiders that try to control it by force as fast as possible, only being corrupted". Even more so as Sukai was already dealing with a slight internal struggle, on the brink of falling to either the light or dark, though deep down a sadistic mindset was stored, one that had led the girl to kill several people in rather brutal ways year ago. Kurenai could only hope the love and kindness of the Jedi Order would keep that side of Sukai safe and locked away.

Wu gave a nod of her head while she was listenign and changing there, with her robes as she slid them into the bag and changed her equipment as she needed. Where she would be able to work on it and better understand it. "Well I will be here, I am going to do everything that I can for her. I want Sukai to be great and to see that the Jin even those who are only considered haf by some will have a place in the galaxy. Compared to a few othes within the orders that may or may not be trying to do things." She said it and was thinking about what they had here to do, what she was going to be able to and she was getting in the water with a nod of her head towards the cave when she started to swin.

"Well thank you for the constant support, with duties in the confederacy and all I have not had much time to be a mother, even if both are now adults by human standards" "Perhaps with myself being appointed to master and joining the Silver Order that will change, but it will be nice to know you will be there for her when Tanasuki or I am not". Getting to the beach the cool water swirled around kurenai's legs, fortunately her clothing being water resistant, herself slowly lowering into the clear liquid, following Master Yeoh into the cave system, reflecting light making a dazzling display along the cave walls. "Maybe in time with Sukai becoming a master other Jin will follow suit, but has there not been some sort of revolt on your home world? something about the Kanga Jin uprising"?

She was swimming and thought about it, there had been messages about it. Reports but it was quiet. "Yes but it has been quiet lately, neither information about it progressing or it being quelled. So I am uncertain, the Silver Jedi are not close enough to mount a big investigation. A small group might be able to go and search out the information but getting some aside from some padawans can be difficult." She said it though while looking around at the cave when they got around into it. She pulled upat some fo the rocks and stood shaking herself off with some fo the water while she flicked her hair to the side wringing it out. "I may see if some jedi want to go and interact witht he Jin. Try to discover what we can and offer aid if possible."

Yes much news from the unknown reason, even the fall of the Iron Empire was largely shrouded, she just hoped the place was not plundered beyond recognition, she would hate her children first looks of their ancestral home world to be that of pillaged and ravaged. "Hmmm I could perhaps check things out in the future, maybe a joint task force with CIS Silver and Alliance members, perhaps The Resistance as well, if there is a rising threat, one that could leap out at anytime we need to know". Kurenai following close behind the Jedi master, using the force to make her own stairway out of the water, "I think some of the Atrisan Jedi may be interested in such an event, though it may serve as a get away for some battle weary ones". If all was good or a compromise could be made between the Kanga and other Jin such a trip may turn out to be a holiday of sorts, but best they went prepared for a fight, experience always teaching that the worst would come from most situations.

Hmm Wu was looking at her and thinking about it as she tapped a finger to her chin with a grin on her face. "I like it, a good task force but not well an operational force who would become visible. Something to go and check it out just in case." She said it while walking and there were some fo the creatures there. Tey had been trapped but they weren't as hostile. Scared, fearful of the two of them plus she was guessing while they were close to the water there were more dangerous things in the back of the caves. She was reaching outw ith her senses and Kurenai was there, not a major distraction and her danger sense wasn't going off. yet but a darksider this near was something uneasy before she was moving and slipped her netlauncher out of the bag. Where they could go with some reloads on her shoulder strap.

"Well it would not be my first special operation, maybe we could even have some of the Jin and Atrisan Jedi go in under cover and get a muse for what is happening and current affairs". Would make avoiding any show or masquerade over the actual state of living that the ruling parties put on for a official visit null, much like how the Galactic empire rolls out the carpet for diplomats, hiding the salve trade and oppressive rule of others. Now walking on dry, but damp land the first signs of animals and beast could be seen, smaller, surface dwellers, probably from the coat line, nothing dangerous, no the more deadly things would be further int, ad the dark ends. Said bests being accustomed to the dark deep jungle, though at night time may wander out of the save, threatening the Temple and student, not something she would let happen.

"No danger just yet, but there is something down here, a dark arua... a possible Sith survivor from the battle"? The possibility along mad the woman unholster her pistol and sabre, a possible Sith Knight hiding out in the saves being a much bigger problem then any beast... still it could be something different, the Jedi only being on world for a few months, much of the planet still unexplored.

Wu thought about that and she reached out extending her senses with a nod of her head to Kurenai.. if there was a survivor here it would be a decent place to hide. there was minimal entrances, there was food and a chance of water from the stream that flowed into the ocean. It was fresh she knew but there would be a few things that the survivor could get to. She wasn't sayign there was something but the jedi master was going in deeper and the light wasn't there as much. her hand activating a glow rod as it illuminated a section fo the cave with a pale blue light. The remnants of somethings food, the leftovers and bones.. but nothing major yet when they went in deeper with her attention going to what she was feeling in the force. "I can sense that now, there is something down there... something darker and older then everything else."

The cave appeared to have been used recently, some musk of food and unnatural or man made odors flowing through the cave system as they went deeper, Kurenai producing her own glow stick the immediate area of the cave system now visible in a glowing aura like colour. Taking further steps the other dark signature become muddled, an ancient feeling, on not to dissimilar from herself "there is much more then meets the eyes, this planet is an old one, been attack, conquered and rebuild many times". Could there be some old ruin of sorts here to the Sith? maybe, those seemed to be everywhere, the same for Jedi temples, each planet, probably even Korriban having a Jedi temple and the Sith vice versa. "We best be on our guard, I would not like to face some Sith that had tamed the wild beasts and use it against us, and if there is some sort of base deeper into the caves we should seek seal it off".

She gave a nod of her head, sealing it up would be important if it was really dangerous. If it could serve to be repurposed then they might be able to really work on things. She brought her glow rod up as the pathway opened up to a smaller chamber and the scent of salted air was there. Water dripping as they were in the caves and she could see a pool down below. Likely more caves that went deeper into the ocean and were filled as she saw some stairs. She motioned towards them heading down when she could see some lights around them. There was one fo the creatures... large and covered in thick hide with scales moving around. Its masive claws rending something of another large creature but it was bleeding on the ground. Wu watched staying up high and out of the range for the claws but it looked like it would have been a tight squeeze for it to get in. There must have been a larger place to enter or he had been here or had squeezed through chasing something and gotten stuck... Either way she was switching from the net launcher that didn't realy look like it would do much to the saber in her hand.

Flowing water echoed through the cave system drips and drops playing the melodic part, a more worn pathway that looked man made appearing beneath their feet, stairs and a larger cave system definitely indicating this place was used for something. She looked at Wu for a moment, the woman indicating towards the cellar like path way, leading deeper into the ground, illumination from some other light shinning through the hallways. The next sign raising some concerns about the place, "That beast, how did it get here, the question is those wounds how did the beast get them... I have a feeling we are not alone down here". There was a light smell of burnt skin and fur haning in the air, Kurenai's vampiric senses being able to pick it up... a lightsabre perhaps? Things where getting more and ore complicated as they ventured further, on second just clearing out dangerous animals, now perching for Sith savages, all in some sort of cave ruin built who knows how long ago, maybe even older then herself.

Wu gave a nod in agreement to that, this was getting to be something both exciting.. more so then simple clearing out some creatures but it was also becoming something of a.. where are we going now thing. She looked at the pair of terentateks the one had killed and was eating the other which helped their cause... kind of. it meant they didn't have to deal with two of them at least and if need be... they could use the dead one as cover when she eased along the wall using her smaller frame to cling to it and then jump towards a higher ledge to get around. She didn't speak and didn't know of a way to communicate beyond impression with Kurenai. they weren't friends in the way many force users could be over time and develop a bond to hear each other thoughts. She brushed at her with the force to get her attention and motioned with her hand that her plan was to jump on its back and try to stab its gaps at the neck and face. She just needed Kurenai to well draw its attention and keep it busy or hurt it a lot with her weapons.... whichever was the better option. Pride in dping it alone wasn't there.

Excitement, not something she had felt for a while, the CIS attack on Tatooine being a bore for the woman, this concept here, a hunt and mystery that just kept getting deeper and deeper really made her heart perk up. The thrill of the hunt, a goal in mind, though with a present task of passing through this current road block of a beast, such thick hide being hard to penetrate, even with a sabre. Unknown to many though it would not be the first one of these creatures Kurenai had taken down, recognizing the many weak points long its armor plate like back, a small plan already formulating in her mind to climb on the beasts back, but without the use of force powers.

Speaking of which a small force push brushed against her body, gaze turning to Wu as she started to scale the wall, herself following suit behind the woman, interested in what plan was up for use. Reaching back Kurenai pointed to the large LMG on her back, trying to convert the message of 'want me to use this'? It would have been easier if the two developed some sort of bond before the mission, perhaps by the end of this one would be formed, only time would tell.
