Bzzzzzz.

Something vibrated in his pocket. Something that continued to buzz incessantly. Bzzzzzz. Bzzzzzzzz.

Mordecai reached down to retrieve it, absentmindedly sliding a finger across before pressing it to an ear. "Yes?"

"Hi honey!" The responding voice was all too chipper and delighted, "I was wondering if you'd grab something else while you're out. I saw an amazing recipe earlier with redfish roe on the local cooking frequency.. something I think you'd like a lot too."

He almost reached upwards to pinch the bridge of his nose, but the heavy weight of several bags stayed his hand. He'd already finished. He'd already picked up everything on the list and had been happily plodding back to the port, eager to be done with his day.

"Sure," Mordecai responded defeatedly, grunting mid-syllable to spin around and swim against the heavy current of foot traffic. "I guess I won't be back home for another... hour then. Is there anything else I need to pick up? Because I'm not turning back around after this."

The other voice giggled. "Now don't sound so excited to be out running errands. It was your idea in the first place!" She cleared her throat to drop her tone, a mocking imitation of Mordecai's gruff timbre, "Carly, I need to make sure things alright out on the streets. Stay here and unpack while I, the big and strong Sith, go make sure everything is safe." And then another giggle that Mordecai couldn't help but grin at.

"Okay fine, I guess it was my idea, but you know how much I hate shopping. Next time you're on grocery duty." The man sighed yet again as he was forced to divert his path, stepping around a group of tourists that had paused to take in the neon lights framing the marketplace. "Do me a favor and wait until I'm home before you try feeding Rhae. I'd... rather not have him get out into the city. Again."

"Of course. And you, mister, do me a favor and get that redfish I asked for!"

The Sith Lord snorted bemusedly. "Yes dear."

This was a rarer occurrence than she'd like to admit. Alina walked the streets, dressed in the every day clothing of jeans and a t-shirt of all things. Walking as a just another person, blending into the crowd. Mostly. Her pale skin and glowing eyes left little to suggest she wasn't Sith. At least the sunglasses she had kept the glow from being seen. People were surprisingly uncaring of her presence, though. The lack of the usual threatening aura made it easy for them to forget.

Weaving through the crowd all too willing to bump into her was a new experience. Not that they could. One guy tried to shoulder check her on his way by and found her as unmoving as a wall. She snickered, glancing to the man as he stumbled back.

"Where's the market?"

He blinked slowly before raising a hand to point down the street.

" 'Preciated." She'd tip her hat if she was wearing one. Instead she just continued on her path. To the market it was, then.
