Tenloss Betting House - Tournament of the Gods: Round 2

Alright folks, this here is the betting house, run by Tenloss. The concept is simple, you place your IC bets for your favorite fighter or fighters and play the odds. Each opponent has different odds per fight based on rank, ability, win/loss ratio, and a variety of other areas. In areas of ties, one side will randomly be chosen to have the slightly higher odds of success.

Here's how it works. You just CLEARLY POST UP your bid, preferably in a bright color, then CLEARLY STATE WHO YOU'RE BIDDING FOR, thenCLEARLY STATE WHICH FIGHT you're bidding on.

The odds are displayed by percentage below the fight and contestants. Obviously, bidding on the higher odds is an easy win, but not a lot of money. Bidding on the lower odds is a riskier bid, but a higher payout. Where you place your money is your choice.

That said, CAST BIDS ARE STATIC. This means they cannot be removed to swap sides. You can INCREASE your bid, but you cannot DECREASEyour bid, once cast. You can bid credits as well as material items (you'll get the worth of the item, or your selection of a prize, should you win).

Bids are confiscated once cast and you'll receive a ticket. Do not lose your ticket as that is the ONLY WAY to get your payout*.

RPing is encouraged. Please keep violence to a minimum or you will be escorted out by security (Still talking to you, [member="Jared Ovmar"]).

Oh, and if you can't pay for your bid up front, you can't bid. At least not officially through the Betting House. Side bids are encouraged through RP. Spectating is also encouraged if that's your thing.

I had been on the edge of my seat with anticipation. I had requested my adjutant to bring popcorn, and whatever food was available from the galley to my quarters. The right side of my face was still red hot with the imprint from ms. Runo, she said something about slave work and a bunch of other stuff but I was too engrossed with looking up the stats of the various contestants to listen.

I was still lounging in my pajamas. I had managed to get the astromech droid to setup a better sound system. I was ready for the match. The Round 1 match I had hedged a small bet on was up and over in a matter of minutes. I watched as the Crinan Princess kicked the feth out of her opponent. I was surprised and extremely happy. I looked around the room and realized the complete mess It had turned into.
‘Ah well I guess time to collect on my winning, now how the hell do I do that?’
I brought up the remote and figured out there was a virtual cage of sorts to collect from. After a brief interaction with a droid whose voice sounded like it was constantly angry.

‘Hmmmmm just made 10000 credits net off that one along with making back my original 2500 credits… well I should just set 1000 credits aside for myself along with the 2500 back from where I, errr embezzled I guess is what I did… lets see with 10000 credits who could I hedge on next?’
I poured over the round 2 contestants. It looked like the princess was going to have a handful with another Sith Knight. ‘Still I figure she might be my lady luck for this event, plus the risk is worthwhile with these odds’. I mashed a few buttons got through a few tedious screens and hedged another bet on and was reward with a giant text message on my screen:

There now I have some money to play with elsewhere. Lets see who else could I bet on?
Ah here is an interesting matchup. A mercenary versus a Sith Knight. ‘What is with all the Sith participating? No matter they have so far proved to be entertaining to watch…’ I looked over the stats and looked at the odds. After a brief moment of comparison and mulling over my remaining credits I felt I would just take the risk and hedge the rest on this mercenary. A few moments later another tedious screen and interaction with the angry droid and voila another oversized text message.

Mrrew was no lkonger competing in the tournament, as he get demolished by Meanken, but he was still inerested in watching. His original motive for joining the tournament was to improve himself, trian himself to fight sentients the way he did monsters. That didn't work out. Now, he was watching to make credits. And there were a lot of credits to be made. Mrrew typed with a giant stylus into the betting console.

1,000,000 on Meanken to win match 6.
1,000,000 on Morgoth to win match 6.
500,000 on Tsavong to win match 4.

Either way, he wouldn't lose credits with match 6. If [member="Meanken"] won, he would get four million, and is [member="Darth Morgoth"] won he'd get his two million back. And he was pretty confident Meanken would win... As far as Tsavong- he was a giant multi-armed Vong monster. He'd win.

Silara had watched the previous round and had not placed a bet prior, instead judging the skills and abilities of those whom fought to better see which fighters truly had greater odds of winning. As of now both [member="Tsavong Kraal"] and [member="Ahani Najwa"] were the two top choices, while she also felt that [member="Meanken"] would be capable of overwhelming Morgoth, if only because she knew Morgoth personally. Thumbing the screen on her datapad she keyed in her bids and waited for confirmation, a small smile creeping at her lips.
