Description:
The Tenebris-class Heavy Cruiser is designed to fill a heavier version of anti-Starfighter support for the One Sith Navy. While this is the ship's primary role, the Tenebris can also fill in other roles, such as escort duty or cargo transport.
Sporting twenty-four light turbolasers and eighteen light quad turbolasers, the Tenebris can handle engagements with ships of similar class, but its primary weapon system are the thirty point-defense laser cannons that provide a wide coverage zone against fighters and missiles. The Tenebris does not have access to missile launchers of its own.
Because of the light nature of the armaments, the ship is not designed to engage ships with heavier weaponry. It is advised to avoid direct battles with larger ships of the line as catastrophic damage or destruction will occur. The Tenebris must also rely on fighter support from local garrison forces or from other ships as it does not have a hanger bay.
