Weaknesses:
  • Weak Shield & No Armor, Large Target, Exposed Pilot, Nightshadow fails at higher speeds
Description: Developed alongside the Katarina, Tenebrae squadron provides the ship with a highly effective fighter screen and attack force that compliments the frigate's speed and stealth capabilities. Originally based on ancient designs of the Virago, Domino incorporated several concept designs that were never produced into its development until the only vestigial remains of the Virago were the four adjustable wings and weapon targeting philosophy.

Positioned on gimbals, the two ship-grade pulse cannons automatically adjust their fire convergence and can track targets across a wide vertical arc relative to the ship's upright position. To the rear is situated a seismic charge dispenser with a trio of warheads that blast in a sphere instead of a single plane. This gives each detonation reduced range but increases their effectiveness against pursuing ships. Forward, the fighters mount only a single proton torpedo launcher above the guns. It's fed off a dual-feed magazine that allows the pilot to choose between two pre-selected torpedo types, for four of each or eight of a single type, and is capable of providing the ship its only non-lethal armament.

Thrust is provided by four drive engines that, contrary to traditional fixed engines, are fully capable of independent movement themselves, and as the wing they're housed in adjusts during flight. This allows them to point in nearly any direction letting the Tenebrae whip about in unexpected ways with lightning agility while almost bestowing a living appearance to the ship as the wings flex and flare out, or contract to adjust the ship's center-mass or to affect aerodynamics during planetary flight. The resulting g-forces of such maneuvers required pilots not only to wear g-suits to prevent black outs, but also to dial their inertial compensators up above where they would normally be situated. Each engine is powered by its own fuel-cell housed in their respective wings while the rest of the ship is powered by a fifth.

In order to cut the fighter's mass to persevere speed, carbon-fiber laminated titanium was used as a frame over which plasteel bonded carbon-fiber was stretched to form the hull. Unfortunately this resulted in an almost complete lack of armoring capable of standing up to even a standard infantry blaster. The hull is coated in nightshadow to assist avoiding detection but, since the engines couldn't be fitted with any additional baffling as it'd block their movement rigs, tibannaX had to be used to mask their drive trail. The fighter's "mast" contains a gravitic modulator and thermal dissipator to complete the stealth suite. However, this renders them without any active countermeasures to detection.

Pilot comfort for longer than average missions was taken into account and the fighter's pilot seat contains several massage functions and sits on a mini fridge. The bubble cockpit gives the pilot a 'floating in space' experience while incorporating enhanced augmented reality overlays to assist in target tracking and situational awareness. Add in that the ship was built around the pilot using a VT-Nerve Helm, and a Tenenbrae should react as if it were an extension of the pilot, merging the two into one.

Heavy shields, standard sensors and communications, life support, escape pods, docking tubes,

ADVANCED SYSTEMS
None

Strengths:
  • Manuverable
  • Strong Shields
Weaknesses:
  • Defensive
  • Rear-facing gun
Description: The Artlands freighter is a sturdy mid-range ship designed around ease of use and moving large amounts of cargo with most of its interior space given over to a single large bay. Most of the crew space is pushed forward and above the cargo hold with engineering to the rear of the single massive loading ramp while the engines were pushed to the outside of the ship's main body for yet more interior space. Later they would be mounted on rotators for enhanced maneuverability and landing.

For defense the ship mounts a heavier than usual shield and a trio of dual laser turrets, one below and the other two on the dorsal surface. However one of these only faces to the rear and some to each side, limiting the amount of fire that can be brought to bear. This and the complete lack of heavy ordinance makes the ship a runner, not a fighter. Crew accommodation is actually quite nice, or at least spacious with each crewmember getting their own room and there being a small dining section. The cockpit also has quite the spectacular view with windows all around and above providing a large amount of positional awareness.

Peregrine Field Disruptor, Sensor Jammer, Night Shadow, HIMS,
Strengths:
  • Shield Penetration
Weaknesses:
Description: Designed around small force penetrations, the ****** can get in deep into a system and exit hyperspace right next to a planet or station, penetrate the shields, and land commandos. It isn't designed to engage more than absolutely necessary and it carries a sensor jammer and is coated in nightshadow to help avoid detection. It isn't a stealth ship by any means however and active scans will pick it up as will moving too fast as the engines flare and the nightshadow coating fails.

Structure Location Template

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: Flesh out Domino's estate on Toola
  • Image Credit: How to properly source your images
  • Canon: N/A
  • Links: [Provide links to any relevant threads, characters, companies, locations, equipment, etc here.]
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Structure Name: Toola Residence
  • Classification: homestead
  • Location: Toola
  • Affiliation: Domino
  • Accessibility: Nestled deep in a mountain range in the south of the equatorial region this private estate is easiest to reach via its underground hanger. An unimproved trail does provide access via hover vehicle to a proper road that leads to the nearest tradingpost some 100 km distant. While it is possible to walk the trail, polite men with casually slung hunting rifles are there to turn away the uninvited.
  • Description:
Sitting on ten acres of prime mountain real estate, resides Domino's secluded Toola residence. Situated at the head of a valley and straddling a mountain river, the building commands a majestic view of the land below. Architecturally it continues in the same theme as the Silk District and classical Naboo structures, rounded buildings with domed roofs. Large arches dominante the front facing which give the buildings a deceptively smaller appearance from a distance along with providing an outlet for the falls and an inlet to the private hanger.
The building's interiors are awash with life, indoor gardens are found at several major junctions and even have imported songbirds flitting about providing a stark contrast to the frozen mountains outside.
POINTS OF INTEREST
  • Hot Spring Cave: An artificial hot spring was carved out of a natural cave for relaxation. River water is heated and pumped in before slowly circulating back out to the river.
  • Cave System: A small natural cave system was discovered during construction. During mapping with probe droids it was discovered to dead end after less than a kilometer save for a few small holes that were blocked off with duracrete. It now serves as storage and a home to the 'hot spring.'
  • Hanger: A small hanger dug into the right mountainside. It holds space for a trio of Reaper fighters, a shuttle, and a visiting craft.
  • Generator Room: Deep in a sub-basement behind a 3-inch durasteel door lies a Star Engine, providing clean energy to the compound.
  • Fabrication Room: Not wanting to be caught out in the wilderness without a little esential or for a guest to go without, Domino has a room dedicated to creating clothing and the little odds and ends needed to keep a compound running.
  • Communications Center: Keeping Domino connected to her sprawling business interests is a robust communications center outfitted with a Ranger Transceiver, Hyperwaver transceiver, a laser comm, and is host to a local comm network.
  • Guest House:
  • Medical Center: A small doctor's office capable of handling a handful of patients. Its staffed by a medical droid programmed for multiple species as well as whiphids.
  • Hunting Cabin: Located on the far side of the property is a small hunting cabin. The bottom floor is made of stone and the windows have durasteel shutters to protect against snow demons while most of the living is done on the second floor. Not meant for long-term habitation, it's powered by solar energy and is only connected to the main estate the comm net.
SECURITY
High
  • Shields protect the residence from fighter attack, orbital bombardment, and rockslides.
  • Orbital Sensors provide an early warning to any raiding force before they land.
  • Life Detectors detect and track beings both inside the house and on the property.
  • A gatehouse controls the final approach from the road and mounts several anti-personnel and vehicle weapons.
  • A trio of Reaper fighters can provide an escort or deter the curious.
  • Armed guards patrol the grounds and intercept humanoid lifesigns.
  • Cameras monitor the exterior and public interior spaces and are watched by security personnel and a droid brain.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The land was put up by Velok as part of a winning bid for a ship Domino had put up for auction. After surveying the available plots she settled on this one and had plans drawn up for a private retreat. Due to the low technology levels of the planet and sparse population, many of the workers were brought in from off-world along with the building material though Domino tried to source both locally where possible. As there's an enforced non aggression pact with the locals as part of the deal, Domino took it as a warning to be polite yet wary and installed security capable of deterring most mischief makers. In an attempt to stave off any such trouble (and with the only genuine clinic for hours around) the estate does offer basic at-cost medical aid to locals that ask for it.
Resource Mine Location
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Mine Name: Tikulini Tunnel
  • Material: Phrik
  • Location: Gromas 16
  • Affiliation: Domino, Outer Rim Resources
  • Size: Medium
  • Accessibility: While all mines are technically underground this one is special in that it's all underground, all the usual outbuildings, workspaces, and living quarters are situated in a massive man-made cavern six hundred meters below the moon's surface. Main access is via a long sloping tunnel just wide enough for a light freighter to fly down at the end of which rests a massive blast door magnetically sealed against laster fire and several anti vehicle and personal turrets. Metal signs at the surface warn against intrusion and anybody not warned off by the blaster scorch marks on the walls and floor are added to them with little ceremony. Visitors are best served by having an invitation.
  • Description: [Provide a short paragraph that describes this landmark at a glance. More in-depth descriptions can be added in points of interest.]
POINTS OF INTEREST
[What areas within the mine are significant? Please give a description of each point listed.]
