OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

  • Intent: Corner Cut Wardroid for novelty and protection
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Primary Source: Source (Picture), Source (Wookiepedia Page)
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Tendrano Arms
  • Affiliation: Free-Market
  • Model: X1

  • Production: Mass Produced
  • Modularity: There is a severe lack of both replacement parts, as well as aftermarket parts. As such, the X1 is mostly incompatible with free-hand modifications. I.E None at all.
  • Material: Durasteel + Titanium + Reinforced Laminanium skin over a durasteel endoskeleton.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
  • Classification: Class IV
  • Weight: 363 Kilograms
  • Height: 2.2 Meters
  • Movement: Bipedal Movement
  • Armaments: High-Strength friction-less bearings in joints
  • Misc. Equipment: Heartbeat Sensor, Basic CPU, Inertial Shock Dampener, Density Module.
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Translator Brain: Even though the droid cannot speak any language other than Galactic Basic, the Translator allows the droid to pick up languages like Huttese with ease.
  • Production Prototypes: They are at their base, available for purchase by anyone in the galaxy. But, they are currently in the field testing stage and could have many bugs and problems with their CPUs and Alloy skin.
  • Vocal Module: Instead of speaking binary like most commercial droids, the X1 has been outfitted with a vocabulator. Sadly, the vocabulator lacks any sort of human-like qualities and only speaks in a deep guttural baritone that grates the ears. Luckily, a switch can be enabled to force the droid to speak in binary.
  • Fuel Reactor: The reactor inside of the X1 droid is highly sophisticated and advanced, it contains many top-secret materials and production methods in its construction. The battery life on the X1 is 150 years on Low-Power Mode, and 100 Years on Full Mode
  • Dual Modes: The first mode, and the mode it comes out of the box with is Full Mode, which allows speaking in baritone and a full activation of it's CPU translation features. If it is in low power mode, the Alloy healing feature is deactivated as well as the capability of its translation features and baritone speaking attributes.
  • Enhanced Infrared and targeting sensors: The sensors are capable of seeing in low light with the inclusion of both a Night Vision module, alongside its Infrared hud. The combination of these two visual sensors give the droid its signature red eyes.

Strengths:
  • Hulking Frame: The droid itself is nearly two-and-a-half meters tall and nearly half that wide. The droid makes a very imposing and admittedly frightful sight. Carrying along with benefits of both lifting strength at the downside of agility and weight. If decommissioned, the droid could make for an extremely effective miner or heavy-construction droid.
  • No Maintenance: If the full status is activated, the Droid will automatically maintain and heal itself thanks to its 'alloy' surface skin.
  • Armored skin: The droid's skeleton is made up of a alloy of Durasteel and Titanium which in turn makes it extremely resistant to all forms of handheld weapons. But, at the cost of being far weaker against light-sabers and blaster cannon sized weaponry.
  • Self Healing Skeleton: The droid's skin is coated with 'Alloy' this material itself is only in prototype stages and could be carcinogenic if inhaled or directly touched without skin protection. But, it does come with an ability for the droid to heal sustained minor damage over a period of time.
  • Effective against ballistic, kinetic, blaster and sonic damage, Extremely weak to light-sabers and sustained fire
Weaknesses:
  • Slow Reaction Time: The reaction time of the droid is nothing to write home about. Its designed role was as a heavy support class with weapons that require minimal dexterity to use, that being a heavy blaster rotary cannon. If given anything like a pin-point sniper or force forbid a melee weapon. The droid will look sluggish and slow, and will be inaccurate with its shots. It uses volume of fire rather than any sort of accuracy in its dealings with foes.
  • Front Toward Enemy: If fired upon against its direct front, The X1 droid could be considered nearly indestructible thanks to its thick alloy armor defending its core and vital systems. However, the armor on the droids sides have major gaps with access to the front mounted coolant pumps. The side of the head is also lightly armored and penetrating hits from high caliber slug throwers or heavy blasters could directly damage the CPU, shutting the droid down for keeps. If fired upon the back, the rear reactor is essentially unarmored and can easy pierce the core. If pierced by a bolt-gun or any sort of weapon shot it would leak radiation before exploding with the force of a small air dropped bomb.
  • Slowpoke: The droid in its movements is very heavy and sluggish in its movements It drives forward like a heavy tank, front toward enemy to absorb any connecting hits with its heavy armor. But, at a cost of its speed. It can only walk forward toward its targets at a leisurely pace which would make an old man seem like a race-car. But, it can give short bouts of speed, all the way up to 30KM per hour in short sustained five second bursts. This however, causes excessive wear and tear on its joints as a result.
  • Basic Combat Computer: The AI piloting the droid is extremely basic in combat tactics. It would often settle for: "Walk toward enemy" sort of attack strategies which leave it open for attack.
DESCRIPTION

The first Prototype of the X1 Mark I War Droid was tested and built during 858 ABY as a means to replace the ageing and highly expensive YVH Battle Droid used to combat Jedi and skilled force users. It's design is loosely based off of a human's skeletal anatomy and is considered one of the worst droids put out by Tendrano Arms. Reviewed by some military organizations in the galaxy as an "extremely specialized defender' the war droid's primary job was defensive measures on contested worlds and as shock troops during an attack role. It was never designed to be deployed in great numbers like the ancient B1 and B2 battle droids of old but it was designed to take up a similar role to the latter battle droids. Close range support. But sadly, over its design life its mother company nearly went bankrupt and so as to see it make some profit, corners were cut in its ergonomics, speaking, and general technological sophistication in its skeletal frame. The only redeeming feature is the thin skin of Laminanium. A self healing metal designed in limited numbers following the Galactic Civil War in 10 ABY. The only purpose of its usage in this droid is make sure that is expensive enough to provide a profit. But even then, its skin is still within a very lengthy testing period as it is considered highly carcinogenic.

Most factions consider it unfit for front-line combat, but it may have some merit as a static defender or security guard on some hidden research facility in a remote part of the Galaxy. But for any use outside of this small margin, it fails utterly.

Please remember to link any specifically named materials. Also, if you could move the note about resistances to special strengths or description section, that would be greatly appreciated.

Xanthum the Mighty said:
'Alloy': A top-secret material composition used in all X1 model war-droids. The material itself is barely out of testing phases and lacks any sort of exposure testing for harsh environs and carcinogenic tests. The material itself is very similar to liquid metal, but this alloy can reform and bend itself at the behest of the droid controlling the main CPU array. This alloy, when damaged can actually heal received damage and even patch holes inside of its endoskeleton frame. This will only work if the main CPU unit is not destroyed or damaged beyond repair.
If you're going to be using a new material here, I'm going to suggest that you please make a material submission for this. Thank you.

Still missing the links here for all specifically listed materials

Again if this is a new material, I'm going to strongly suggest that you make a sub for its use. Otherwise there is no concrete way to understand its properties and/or resistances.
