Name: The Temple of the Green Jedi

Classification: Jedi Temple

Location: Sahsahlah Mountains-Corellia

Affiliation: The Green Jedi/Corellian People

Description: A sprawling complex over a series of specific floating mountains picked out by Julius Sedaire & [member="Kira Vaal"] and others on an expedition across the planet to find a home for their fledgling group. Many places were tried and scouted, with eventually the Sahsahlah Mountains being chosen for their beauty, seclusion, and their natural challenges to pilots and a boon to those who do not wish to be found or tampered with.

The architecture is a blend of styles and places, due to the Corellian diaspora under the One Sith. A practiced eye will see blendings from Denon, Atrisia, Mon Cal, Bespin, and even vague hints of Mandalorian utilitarian aesthetics. All of this blends and is supported on the backbone of traditional Corellian design, a simple elegance without flash or pretension that still seems to out-glam any other competitor.

The Temple Complex proper is on the largest mountain island, found in the center of the cluster. Many towers crowd the central island, with it seeming to always be a new one going up, or an old one being made taller. This complex houses the central places. Instruction for younglings, various meeting chambers, the Central Library filled with an ever growing Lore Collection and history of the Corellian people, and more besides.

In the subterranean levels of the central island rest a large hangar which houses a dozen or so fighter squadrons or small freighters of various makes and designs. These are the personal craft of the Masters who call the Temple home. As well, a full three dozen fighter craft of mixed heritage, each as unique as their pilot, is housed in this hangar ready to be called into action to defend their home. They are kept hidden by their exits and entrances being cunningly disguised within the many crags, caverns, and waterfalls in the base of the mountain island.

Further, the odd magnetic and general fluctuations make it such that for a good few kilometers around the area the Temple are hidden from sensors and scanners. This also makes it an amazing place to train and develop the talented pilots Corellia is famed for, and one of the many islands surrounding the Central Temple is home to a Flight Academy that exists for just such a goal, and also home to the newly formed but truly awe-inspiring 'Bloodstripe Squadron', a mixed unit of CorSec and Green Jedi Pilots, many veterans of the Liberation Conflict.

Nearby and to all sides of the monastery float various islands nominally attached to the main Temple complex. These house hab complexes for the family and 'normal' denizens and 'support staff' of the Temple itself. A lesson Corellian Jedi seem to know and value deeply is that it takes all kinds to make a dream come true and work in reality. Even the mechanics for droids and cleaning and cooking staff, where the duties are not occupied by a member of the Order itself, are treated with the same respect as any Master within it.

To that end, it is not uncommon to see a detachment of CorSec recruits and veterans training with the Green Jedi at the temple as defenders for it. This helps both sides know the strengths and weaknesses and abilities of each side in general, and how to work together as a cohesive whole. This is accomplished primarily through fighter squadrons and their natural surroundings, but dotted all around the Islands are Quad-Laser emplacements with their own separate and retractable blast-shields. Some of them are even hidden within the foliage and rock, to such a degree they are near impossible to find with the naked eye.

History:

Though newly made by a concerted effort with the Corellian people, the Temple is designed to both pay homage to their proud history and be as a beacon for their bright future now that they are once again free of the yoke of oppression. As the years wind on, time will tell the success of that hope, and its' people will build the lore of it.

Intent: To create a place of learning, training, and gathering for Corellian Jedi

Nice to see you, [member="Julius Sedaire"]. Hope you don't mind, but you're stuck with me reviewing your submission.

First thought is a little nitpicking, but could you add 'Corellia' as part of the Temple's location? A Corellian Jedi Temple need not be constructed on Corellia (particularly since the system has a five habitable worlds you could park on), so it would be useful if that was made absolutely clear.

I honestly thought I'd have more of a list once I got the bottom of the submission...but I don't. Darn. I was getting nice and ready to provide some juicy constructive criticism, and instead feel suitably schooled in writing a good submission. Nice work.

If you can make that one tiny change, this will be ready for Approval.
