Private Temper the Mind & Guard the Body

Blaster bolts were batted and swatted back repeatedly. Ran could see the purpose Aris put into every movement. She waited for signs of straining, exhaustion, or pressure weighing on the young man. In the time she was willing to wait, they never came. He was like a machine. His very presence challenged her perceptions of ability.

The force worked in unique ways and so did every being touched by it. It was difficult imagining others felt the force differently from her, but that was because Ran was a wellspring. Everything in the force came so naturally to her. She was strong in it. Others were not, or at least they were strong in different ways. Ways she'd need to consider when training the next generations of Jedi Knights.

"Excellent work, Aris." Ran said as the remotes stopped volleying laser bolts at Aris. She powered each one down and sent them to their place against the wall. "You've done well this morning." She continued and turned to the silver haired boy. "You've surpassed my expectations and have made great progress in the form already," She complimented as an alarm set off on a datapad in the corner of the room, her datapad. Ran paused and grabbed her datapad. Silencing the alarm. She hadn't realized how long they'd been training. "And while I would like to continue training with you, I have other matters I need to tend to this morning." She smiled and extended her hand out to shake.

Before she left she shared a few more words with the boy as well as a means of contact. "Thank you for joining me today, Aris. I've been having a tough go of it lately and you helped take my mind off of things. You've taught me something valuable and I hope I was able to teach you the same. Never hesitate to reach out should you need anything. I mean it." She did. She'd always be there for her fellow Jedi.
