Kael Rose
Ex-Teepo Paladin

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
- Intent: To create a piece of equipment which further's Kael's development as a Teepo Paladin, as well as advertise for the Teepo Paladin brand and create a more fashionable alternative to previous devices.
- Image Source: Pinterest is where the image came from, but it's difficult to get there exactly without a membership. I just googled "Godot Mask" and found it that way. The image in the intent is the property of Lucas Arts.
- Canon Link: N/A
- Restricted Missions: N/A
- Primary Source: N/A
- Manufacturer: Kael Rose
- Model: N/A
- Affiliation: Kael Rose though he wouldn't mind making another for friend, or teaching fellow Teepo Paladins how to do so. For now though, he's the only Teepo Paladin he knows.
- Modularity: Aesthetic, different colored lights, powder coating on the metal, etc. Straps can also be changed for comfort. Any improvements to functionality or durability is enough of a task to merit a Separate Submission
- Production: Unique presently, but that's not due to difficulty in forging or rare materials. More could be made(Semi-Unique Potential) If Kael needed to replace it, or sought to make another for a friend. Such a task would be time-consuming however, and additional resources/man-hours/production would be required to make more than a handful.
- Material: Durasteel, mesh.
- Classification: Multi-purpose
- Weight: .5 Kg
- Resistances:
- Kinetic: Average
- Lightsabers: None

SPECIAL FEATURES

- The Teepo Paladin Visor provides adequate protection to a significant portion of the face. The durasteel frame is able to handle a single mid-grade blaster shot, while a mesh behind the frame allows for sufficient compaction to reduce impact stress from say a punch, or a few shots from an average slugthrower.
- Lack of protection over the neck ensures full range of motion of the head, allowing the user fire prone as well as adapt to varying angles in combat better than if using a full helmet.
- The Visor, while somewhat durable, is not nearly as durable as a typical galactic government's marine helmet. It is not built to withstand heavy fire, such as from a sniper rifle or high-powered slugthrower. Nor is it as encompassing, still leaving a good portion of the face exposed, along with the entirety of the neck and the back of the head.
- The visor does not possess any cameras, viewscreens, or eye holes. While this helps the overall durability of the visor, the user cannot see while wearing it.
Kael Rose is an old school rebel. One of the Teepo Paladins he isn't really one for more mystical or esoteric arts of the Force. Thus Kael trains not to move mountains, but to hear the whispers of the Force. Follow the trails it lays for those with the patience to look. But a Force User can only listen to the Force so much when he or she is also listening to his or her own senses, or so the Teepo Paladins believe. Therefore as Kael found himself needing new ways to train more efficiently he created for himself a visor that would take away his eyes.
This visor, made from durasteel, offers a mild degree of protection against blaster fire, slugthrowers, and the odd punch here or there. It doesn't handle them particularly well in comparison to standard armor, but may save Kael from a lucky shot once or twice before needing repair/replacement. Overall the visor has notable but not considerable defensive properties, while being a method of training Kael considers essential.
It is notable that Kael's connection to the Force is not 'buffed' by wearing the visor, but rather Kael is forced to rely on it more, and thus grow closer to the Force. This means that the visor does not provide a tangible combat advantage or "Force Boost" in the immediacy, but is rather a narrative element to assist with Kael's development.
Side effects may include walking into walls, stubbing your toes, over-reliance on blindness, or winding up with less attractive dates. At least one test, which notably included access to dangerous chemicals, also made an individual pass the BAR exam, though this result is considered an outlier. Consult your doctor before use.
