Techniques [Darth Ferus]

| [member="Darth Ferus"] |

Sabarene, [member="Darth Vulcanus"]'s Sith Temple.

Her Sith robe rippled in the wind, folded over her left arm and tucked into her slide, only the drapes rising up and down in the gusts that blew by, this high up on a structure such as the Sith Temple on Sabarene. Ivory, chalk white skinned glistened off her petite, such muscular frame. Darth Ayra was bathed within the sun, yet her clothes were a reminder of contrast between herself and the Light. Hours past by the woman, who found herself perched on the ledge of the Sith Temple, watching the sun set. It was something she was used to doing on Kalist VI, but since her encounter with [member="Darth Vulcanus"] on Lehon, of which she joined the New Order, had made the ritual she was used to performing something of a rare occurrence. Alas, she had taken the time out that day to watch it drop.

Although an elongated metaphor told to her by her Sith Master, Darth Mendacium, Ayra still reminded herself. "Even the brightest stars in the galaxy burn out," she murmured to herself.

The Zabrak had made his way up to the top of the tower shortly before the sunset. Not because he had any intention on watching it, but because he could sense a presence above. He was curious, wanting to learn who or what had perched itself so far up above, only to find the marauder. He'd pull himself to the very top of the spire, standing on his one foot as he over looked the temple itself.

"Why up here?" Ferus knew nothing of the saying, instead asking a basic question in a hopes to understand why exactly she was here. His voice was soft, quiet despite the raspy tone.

Her hand flew up and a disruptor pistol was in her hand, aimed at Ferus's head. When she saw who it was, her arm faltered and then eventually lowered. "Has anyone told you it's rude to sneak up on people like that?" Her facial features didn't show that she was startled or even angered by Ferus. Perhaps it was just a show.

Her pistol lowered to her side, her eyes averting from the Zabrak Sith Lord to the setting sun. "Sometimes I like to remind myself of what I learned. It's always helpful to remember." Sighing for a moment, she leaned back on both of her hands, letting her robe drop onto her lap. "I don't think we've met before. Who are you?"

He glanced down to [member="Darth Ayra"] , a frown forming on his face at the site of a gun. He let out a sigh before looking back out to the temple grounds, shrugging his shoulders. "One could say the same about that gun. Don't you know disruptors are illegal these days?" He slid down then, landing beside her form while still standing.

"Ferus. I don't think I know you either."

"I suppose you're right." Turning her gaze back to Ferus, she said. "I was trained as a Sith Marauder. I am proficient in Djem So, Juyo and their Jar'kai variants. But I am something more than what you might know as a Sith Marauder. The training regime I was trained on made me into a solider as well; and I have in my ability to act as an assassin as well. I prefer to kill when they can't see me. When I am unexpected, because I don't play by the normal 'rules'. What about you, Darth Ferus?"

Ferus blinked, watching [member="Darth Ayra"] . She actually had a word for what she could do, to sum it all up. He only scratched his chin then, thinking. "Juyo, Vapaad, Ataru, Soresu, Shii-Cho, and a bit of Makashi. Among various other Force techniques, I have a want to learn all of the forms. So you know Djem So?"

"I am also going to master all the Lightsaber techniques. This way, when I am in a duel with a Jedi, I can switch to the Lightsaber form that I know is best suited to best theirs; and I will know what Lightsaber form my enemy is using through my experiences. Yes, I know Djem So. Perhaps we could help each other, Ferus?"

"We shall meet tomorrow then, in the courtyard below." Lifting herself to her feet, Ayra turned to have one last look at the skyline. It was entirely dark now, night had taken their side of Sabarene. "See what I mean?" she said out loud, to nobody in particular and more to herself than Ferus, before making her way off the roof and back to her quarters to rest.

Twenty four hours later...

Ferus stood in the courtyard then, wearing nothing but a simple shirt and a par of slacks. He held Deus in his hand, simply waiting for the maurauder. They would begin today, probably teaching the other a new form. This was something he wanted.

[OOC: Sorry that I've taken so long to post. Here you go mate.]

Darth Ayra made her way out of the Sabarene Sith Temple, dressed only in a black vest top, combat trousers and boots. Of course, her Saberstaff and Lightsaber hung from the utility belt that was tied around her waist, but other than this, she had nothing else. Today was about the Lightsaber. Nothing else. That was what made Darth Ayra a purist.

Taking off her Lightsaber from her belt, she left it placed on top of the palm of her hand, fingers outstretched, as if she were gesturing towards Ferus. "Some people will tell you Djem So is about strength. I think of Djem So as counter attacking. If someone attacks me, then I will redirect their attack onto themselves; or use their movements against them so I can launch my own attack; and when I begin my attack, I don't let up, I continue hacking and slashing at them until they don't give up. Strength doesn't come into this. It's about speed, agility, accuracy and efficiency. Of course, you require a certain strength to be able to keep this up, but for me, I'll never end up in a situation where I have to use my strength to overpower my opponent. I play dirty. I use them against themselves and steam roll them until they are dead. I think that is the difference between myself and a Jedi."

Her fingers curled around her hilt and her thumb pressed down on it's ignition button. "Here, I'll show you." Lifting the blade above her head with two hands, she marched down upon Ferus and began a continuous assault of slashes, cuts and stabs, gaining momentum with each swing, never letting up, the very definition of steam rolling.

The Zabrak flicked free his purple blade, the metal singing as it came free from it's sheath. Without a word Ferus would being to slide back, bending and twisting, deflecting and dodging. Beads of sweat would begin to roll down his face after but a moment, him so focused on deflecting and evading that he wouldn't even grunt as her blade clashed with his. After another moment or two he would leap back, sending a blast of the Force right for the marauder, to at least put a pause to the demonstration.

Darth Ayra was blown backwards by the Force technique Ferus had used on her, no doubt an Ataru maneuver to counter an aggressive, yet compact form. Such was the disadvantages of an Djem So user who utilized this technique. They were suspectible to the Force. Lifting her arm to her face, she wiped the sweat and gravel from where she fell and span her Lightsaber back into the opening stance of Djem So.

"Aerobatics, the Force. I don't know how to use Ataru, yet, but I do recognize it. You're not going to be able to become an adept practitioner, and later a master, of Djem So, unless you use and only use Djem So in your attacks. That way you learn from the mistakes that you make, see?"

Marching forward again, she approached cautiously, slowly this time. Djem So was either a counter attacking or overpowering form; and the latter seemed beyond even Ayra, when against someone like Darth Ferus.

A tsk erupted from the Zabraks lips as he moved to the defensive. Countering? Waiting? Ferus was too impatient for something like that. But.. He wanted to learn all the forms, master them even. Well, countering isn't something all too new to the Darth. No, Makashi had some of that. Perhaps.. His icy blue gaze opened wider for a moment of realization before he turned Deus around, sheathing the purple blade once more in it's sheath. There he kept a hand on the hilt of his blade, waiting.

Might as well adapt the form to what he has already, right?

The Sith Lord would observe Ayra's movements and find them to be rigid, close to the body, with a lack of fluidity other than maintaining the momentum of the attack and the strength necessary to maintain the form. Ayra unleashed several strikes for Ferus's arms, legs, chest, neck and just about anywhere she could reach as she unleashed her barrage upon him; her Lightsaber moving like a helicopter rotation above her ahead to maintain the attack upon him.

Ferus kept still, his blue eyes never wavering from the Knights form. He waited, watching, thinking, collecting. Then, as soon as the woman charged over his blade came out, only halfway free of it's sheath to catch her saber. A single hand held the hilt of his blade, allowing it and his waist to catch her blow. His free hand would come around in the same instant, sending out a powerful Force blast meant only to put her off balance.

Then he turned to the attack. His blade came free of it's sheath, but the pommel would fly right for her chin. As he brought his blade back down to change his grip, his other hand would come around, sending a Force empowered fist right for her chest, hopefully buying him the time needed to bring Deus back around. Strong and rigid he would slash, constantly on the offensive now, chaining his own stream of slashes, cuts, and thrusts before his free hand would come around again, this time sending a powerful push to send her form back.
