Everyone of these swords is handcrafted on the world of Ako Prime. It takes a two full Galactic Standard Month to produce one. What is meant by handcrafted is that the scabbard is harvest from wood from the same mountain the iron is mined from for the sword. The water that the sword is quenched in is draw by hand from a nearby well on the coldest day of the Zuverian year. In addition to that each blacksmith that make these swords have over fifty years of experience in making swords and other edged weapons.
The first process, after the initial deposit has been made, for a sword takes place in the choosing of the correct iron and then either the smiths are chosen for the job or the job is done by the Smith Guild. Either way, high quality is the output. The entire process is a bit of a throwback from the current era. The entire process of creating every single blade the Smith Guild puts out, is made entirely by hand by complete professionals, whom most have been doing their jobs for more than fifty years. These hand crafted blades can still meet the rigorous standards of combat, which means they can still cut through a man's torso with no damage to the blade (given the practitioner knew what they were doing).
