Taygeta Lightkeeper of the Silver Jedi Order created this lightsabre hilt as her rite of passage as a Jedi Padawan. The hilt's curve was designed to ergonomically contour to her hand as well as to provide leverage when dueling, although it does have the drawback of changing the angle at which blaster bolt deflection will occur, making redirection accuracy a challenge as well as consistent deflection in general. It is, however, a truly elegant weapon fit for the woman who built it from the outer aesthetics to the inner workings. The colour of the beam is a brilliant blue-violet and it contains a fine-focusing emitter lens. It also contains a "stun" setting via a bondar-crystal shard that can be moved into or out of place in the crystal matrix housing with the flip of a switch. There is still room for one more full sized crystal, however.
However, As Taygeta is a geneticist, she incorporated her profession into the dynamics of her lightsabre hilt: it contains a DNA sniffer as a security interlock device and, in the event that her lightsabre is ever taken from her or otherwise handled by someone whom she didn't expressly authorise to do so, attempts to activate the hilt will result in a punishing 900,000 volts of debilitating electrical shock. This shock comes at less than one amp, so it is generally less-than-lethal. Taygeta also enjoys swimming, so waterproofing gussets and flanges were added to prevent water from entering the hilt and shorting out its electronics. The blade length can also be adjusted between 1 metre and a metre and a half on the fly.
