Description: A Tashai water seeker talisman is a minor Force artifact, carved by hunters and moisture farmers, and occasionally bartered offworld. Its sole purpose is to help locate drinkable water, like a pendant-worn dowsing rod. It will twitch in the direction of water if a Force-sensitive wearer focuses on it. For multiple nearby sources, it will twitch multiple times in multiple directions.

Once water is found, the talisman is dropped into it, and a process of purification begins. Depending on the quality of the talisman's construction, the Force-sensitivity of its maker (generally low), the volume of water involved, and the nature of the contamination involved, anywhere from minutes to days may be required. Generally speaking, if the talisman leads the wearer to a good spot in the desert, and if the wearer succeeds in digging down to the water table (be it centimeters or meters below the ground), the talisman will ensure the water's cleanliness within an hour or two. Sometimes this is not fast enough. Water seeker talismans are occasionally found on skeletons beside sand pits.

This effect is not powerful enough to make blood or other fluids into drinkable water, but it has been known to reduce or nullify the effects of poison, venom, and other contaminants.
