SPECIAL FEATURES

  • May cause electrical interference/disruption upon impact.

  • May interfere with missile guidance systems.

  • Utilizes QV-3 Disruptor technology to disrupt shield systems.

  • Incorporates Sianium (Siaber) technology for higher penetration rates.

  • Internal targeting and tracking sensors, systems.

  • Automated lock-on and target lead assistance.

  • Internal temperature and tibanna gas monitor.

  • Turreted; capable of 250° firing radius, with 180° firing arc.

  • Fast-track mounting, stutter-fire and fire-link capable.
Strengths:

  • Disruption: Designed to disrupt, or cause disruption to electrical systems

  • Interference: Designed to interfere with missile guidance systems.

  • Splash: PDC also creates a mild splash effect upon impact creating minimal damage over time to the impact zone.
Weaknesses:

  • Disabled: May be disabled via projectile or ion/emp based weaponry.

  • Range: Not effective at standard range on stutter fire, and single fire is not as effective at long range.

  • Shield: May be countered by an ion shield, and/or an anti-ion mesh. Additionally, molecular and retribution shields were able to withstand the weapon to a fair degree, with molecular being perhaps most effective of all shielding types.

  • Crystal: Reliant on siaber crystal technology, the Tasha is prone to overheating which may cause a broken siaber crystal which then turn would have catastrophic results.

DESCRIPTION
The Tasha-type II incorporates the Tasha’s abilities with the Nerys’ type plasma disruptor capabilities. By doing so the newest generation of plasma cannons achieved a higher rate of shield disruption than its predecessor. Still maintaining its ability to interfere and disrupt electrical systems. While ion shields and the like are still considerable counters, deflector shields alone found themselves unable to hold after a certain period of time. This length was considerably shorter than it had been in the past with the Tasha-type I.

Utilizing tibanna gas, power cells and sianium power technology the Tasha-type II had its stutter fire capabilities increased over single fire. Doing so at the sacrifice of range, reload speed, rate of fire and even recoil. Fast track mount capable, with a 250° firing radius and a 180° firing arc the Tasha has an improved turning radius and firing arc, over its predecessor.

Internal tracking and targeting systems along with an automated lock-on and target lead system assist gun crews with tracking, and targeting enemy ships. Includes an internal temperature check and tibanna gas monitor to aid crews with weapon maintenance. The Tasha-type II also makes use of Aurora Industries’ sianium power generator for an increase in destructive power.

The new model of plasma cannon will be slowly phased into older Primo Victorian made vessels, and will be made available to clients for purchase within the next quarter.
