- Resistance: The Tac-Plate is very resistant to the two most common damage types in the galaxy, slugthrowers and blasters
- EMP Shielding: The armor provides no protection against ion weaponry, which while not a problem for the armor would be for anyone wearing it and any electronics they might be carrying.
Tarkin's 1st stand apart from the other special forces units in the Authority in that they shun the use of most advanced tech, and their armor reflects this. The armor features next to no electronic components, keeping maintenance easy, while the armorplast construction is both lightweight and incredibly durable. Camouflage ponchos and cloaks can easily be worn over the armor, and each piece can be removed on its on if desired.
The armor provides no protection against EMPs or Ion weapons, and while the armor itself wouldn't suffer from this the wearer would, if they were susceptible to such things, as well as any equipment they're carrying.
