Pragmatic- In sharp comparison to many of his peers in the separate Kandaran military and even some of his comrades in the Nizam al- Mulk, Tariq is incredibly cautious as a military commander. Notably saving an entire Kandaran battalion of Fedayeen at Kiros by choosing to hold them back in reserve, letting the better equipped Golden company open up a hole in the spare Mandalorian lines thus saving many Kandaran lives.

Loyal- General Hejazi is loyal to a fault, answering to both the Nizam al-Mulk organisation and the greater Imperial party with extreme prejudice. He is the type of man to sell out his brother before compromising his own beliefs and his higherups.

Tactician- With experience in leading paramilitary operations against insurgents on Kandara, and against the Mandalorians as part of the seven-week war. Tariq is an experienced commander with particular expertise in fighting insurgents.

Xenophobe- Like many in the Kandaran Fedayeen and its political wing of the Nizam Al-Mulk party, Tariq is a total xenophobe towards those who are not human. He barely tolerates near humans at most, with rumours long persisting of the Fedayeen kidnapping near human travellers on Kandara.

Brutal- Tariqs reputation for violence against political opponents of the Imperial state and enemy combatants precedes him. Various holonet channels have long reported of forced disappearances of anti Imperial dissidents and mass executions of Mandalorian prisoners that are rumoured to have been done by the Fedayeen.

Although it can be said Tariq is many things, he cuts a rather enigmatic figure in Kandaran politics. Being a man of razor-sharp intellect and great cunning who arose from common origins to become a promising young captain in the then Kandaran caliphate military. Alas, betrayal and the intrigues of a man eat man court forced his retreat from the side of the caliphs and court. This setback, however, merely served to open another door for one as clever and enterprising as he. Seeing the great potential and opportunity in joining the powerful Imperial political organisation known as the Nizam Al-Mulk, he entrenched himself under the armed wing of the party and quickly garnered tremendous influence. He soon garnered himself a position as a major general of the Fedayeen, who served as the Nizam Al-mulks armed wing which protected the party from both internal and outside threats, including funding and training pro Imperial groups outside of Kandara.

With Kandaras inclusion into the ever-expanding Imperial confederation, made easy by rising pro-Imperial sentiment and the Nizam Al-Mulk major gains in parliament. Cries for Kandara to answer the call in fighting the Mandalorian menace led to the Nizam Al-Mulks armed wing and many thousands of Kandaran volunteers to rally behind the Imperial military machine. Having been freshly bloodied by combat operations on both Kiros and Obroa-skai, the Kandaran Imperial might just prove himself as a capable general and honour his peoples proud martial tradition.

The CIC was no more, and with it the steady encroachment of the reactionary powers that be in Corelia came in a tide. With the eventual rise of the illegal Galactic alliance, his home planets imperial party was outlawed and its members imprisoned or sent underground. Those of its armed paramilitary that didn't accept amnesty, either were imprisoned by the ghouls of the galactic alliance or went into hiding. Waiting, watching for the time to come when Kandaras sons of the imperial thought would rise once more.

Rather than risk imprisonment and possible execution for alleged war crimes and human rights abuses, Tariq and the hard line elements of his unit disappeared. Virtually off galactic records. But he was a true son of Kandara, and he did not forget the guiding hand of the Nizam al mulks imperial ideology. So he waited, patiently and with a vengeance in his heart.

The one thousand bandits in the senate would hang, and that sordid alliance would burn if it meant revenge.
