She often wears the white top of the dress uniform, even though, on duty, she would wear the black service pants. Otherwise she has no distinguishing marks.

- Personality: She seems highly driven to ensure victory when she does engage enemies in a naval engagement, even willing to process mountains of paperwork if it will further her goals in the end, but outside of paperwork or naval action, she can often been seen reading on the great naval battles of the past. At the same time, she is rather submissive in a combat context.

Born to a Kiffar father and a Vahla mother on Scarif, Tanith inherited the Force-sensitivity from the Vahla side; she was interested in space travel from a young age. To this end, she endlessly read everything she could find on Scarif regarding the Battle of Scarif. Because she realized that she didn't appreciate the rough-and-tumble life of a starfighter pilot, yet still wanted to serve the NJO in space, she chose to enter the GADF Navy to serve in a capital ship, with aspirations to flag ranks. As was common with padawans entering GADF naval service (outside the starfighter corps) she entered naval service at the rank of commander, with the result that her early days in the navy were rife with occasions where the crew did not trust her as much as she would have liked, forcing her to be confined mostly to paperwork duties, during which time she also was given greater leadership roles and proper naval command training before she could be back in the command of Alliance warships, and occasionally assigned to various duties on the graveyard shift. This period in Tanith's life gave her additional drive to become as good a naval officer as she can be.
Assigned to Therapy Command as a padawan during the Atrisia Campaign, she stood in as the commanding officer of the Excubitor after the campaign ended, even being at Cathul's side whenever the Excubitor was deployed in battle, especially on Kaeshana, where she fought [member="Cyrus Tregessar"]. Even though she was assigned to cover the Alliance's backs on Mustafar while the Polis Massa campaign was waged and in the invasion of the Mustafar sector by the First Order, after the Mustafar sector invasion was over, she was both knighted and promoted to commodore, according to the protocol as applied to Jedi.
