Strengths:
  • Easy to camouflage as a civilian vehicle, like a refrigerated delivery truck
  • High defenses
  • High carrying capacity
Weaknesses:
  • Low armament: while it could easily be retracted, the machineguns can really only be effective against personnel, swoops or perhaps lightly-armored speeders
  • Armament blind spots forward and at the rear
  • Uncomfortable in prolonged trips inside an APC due to its cramped nature
  • Weak underside: an enemy can get underneath an APC, shoot armor-piercing rounds at its engine and disable it
Description: In the wake of the Chiloon Rift campaign, the Dominion Tenth Sector Army realized that there were numerous gaps in their equipment, including, but not limited to, APCs. Also, due to the realities of urban warfare, it was decided that the chassis of an existing truck model would be used and its armor and shields reinforced for use as an APC, affording its contents protection against common battlefield weapons. Also the chassis allow the Tango to easily pose for a civilian vehicle designed for the transportation of valuables or of refrigerated goods, so some commanders would paint the vehicles in paint schemes that are identical to vehicles doing delivery of such items for carrying out surprise, night attacks. To maximize the ability of the Tango APC to carry troops from point A to point B, the soldiers are loaded in a standing position, allowing the to carry 20 soldiers and their equipment, albeit in a lack of comfort.

However, the Tango is not without its weaknesses: it is not designed to carry out heavy combat operations on its own, due to its lack of firepower. Two retractable machineguns mounted on the sides of the vehicle allow it to defend itself against personnel, swoops or maybe even light speeders but not against heavier vehicles. It also come with blind spots at the front and rear due to the mountings of the weapons.

Passenger Capacity: 48
This seems a bit high, both per the cookie cutter and the size of the vehicle. At present, you are affording .5 square feet per person, not including an engine or anything else.

[member="Taryc Ap'Irae"] Reduced the passenger capacity to 30, but, as compensation, raised the squadron count to 14... even though I accepted that affording 0.6-0.7 square meter per person would make the APC highly uncomfortable for a soldier, and its cramped nature made it a weakness (albeit not as significant as the other three).

This is still not balanced versus the cookie cutter. You have it mass produced, with the same loadout of stats, albiet rearranged, but with a significantly higher carrying capacity.

I would like to see either a stat reduction somewhere or some more weaknesses.

If you want to keep the body density, I would say reduce production to Minor and drop the speed a bit. Those advantages are pretty strong.
