Talo Vex – Smuggler
Talo Vex is a 24-year-old, slender Rodian smuggler who operates as a freelancer, taking on highly illegal cargo contracts and spice-running jobs to make his living in the galactic underworld. He possesses exceptional tracking skills, allowing him to hunt down contacts or navigate uncharted territory with ease. He has vibrant teal-green skin and large, deep-purple faceted eyes that give him natural infrared sight to track movements and heat signatures in pitch-black cargo holds or dark alleyways. He wears practical, dust-stained gear: a rugged brown leather duster coat over a dark gray, tear-resistant utility shirt and heavy reinforced trousers built for rough cargo work, completed with thick combat boots. Strapped to his right thigh is a matte-black fast-draw holster containing his single, reliable DL-18 blaster pistol. He carries no extra gear or gadgets on his belt, relying purely on his wits and his weapon.
Talo is highly intelligent, always calm, quiet, and hyper-focused, never losing his cool during intense customs inspections or tense black-market deals. His greatest strength is his Lightningfast reaction time and hand-eye coordination. His long, flexible fingers allow for an elite, lightning-fast quickdraw, letting him unholster and fire his DL-18 before rival smugglers or planetary authorities can even react. He is an expert at reading cargo manifests, navigating dangerous hyperspace lanes, and unarmed combat, making him highly dangerous if a deal turns violent and forces him into a close-quarters fistfight. He is also an excellent, natural pilot who handles starships with smooth precision.
He pilots a weathered, secondhand Ghtroc Class 580 light freighter that looks like a slow junk-hauler from the outside, which serves as his mobile home and provides the perfect cover to bypass strict customs checks without raising suspicion. He has modified the freighter's internal structure to include hidden cargo compartments beneath the deck plating, which are heavily shielded against standard sensors. The ship's sublight engines have been upgraded with aftermarket injectors for high speed, allowing him to easily outrun local patrols, accelerate incredibly fast, and make a swift escape into hyperspace using its reliable hyperdrive. For defense during tight getaways, the freighter is armed with two forward-facing heavy laser cannons controlled directly from the pilot's seat.
