SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Vergence Resonance: Amplifies Force connection when near vergences, temples, or places of power.
  • Shrouded Eye: Etched eye glows faintly when visions or foresight abilities are used.
  • Echo of the Duel: In meditations, wearers glimpse Krul and Crian locked in endless combat.
  • Vision Modifier (Narrative): Provides clarity in fragmented visions.
  • Weight:
    • To non-Force-sensitives, it just feels like a chunk of metal.
    • To Force-sensitives, it feels slightly heavier than it should be, as though the duel's echoes press on them directly.
STRENGTHS
  • Narrative: Boosts a seer's ability to divine useful details from otherwise fragmented visions. Provides symbolic imagery tied to fate, time, or hidden truths.
  • Mechanical (Story Roll Modifier):
    • When worn, the talisman grants +1 to all rolls involving farsight, foresight, or vision quests.
    • If the roll is a 10, the talisman magnifies it into a moment of piercing clarity -- the Narrator may provide one extra layer of detail beyond what others see.
  • Balanced Imprint: Contains both light (Crian) and dark (Krul) echoes, making it usable by Jedi or Sith.
WEAKNESSES
  • Vergence-Dependent: Its power is strongest at sites of Force concentration (vergences, temples, ancient battlefields). The further away from such places, its effect dull.
  • Haunted Echoes: Visions may carry distortions or intrusive imagery of Krul's rage or Crian's discipline, creating bias or confusion.
  • Lingering Taint: Extended use may cause fatigue, nightmares, or emotional imbalance.
  • Non-Combat Utility: Offers little to no benefit in direct combat outside its foresight enhancement.

DESCRIPTION
The Talisman of the Shrouded Eye is a jagged, blackened shard of metal, warped as though melted by unnatural fire. A single eye is etched into its face, veins of faint golden light spreading outward like roots. Originally a fragment of Kaox Krul's Sith-forged breastplate, it was torn free during his final duel with Jedi Crian Maru. When both combatants perished in the resulting dark side conflagration, the shard was cast into Lake Krul's vergence, where it lay dormant for centuries.

The vergence imprinted both Krul and Crian upon the shard -- Sith fury and Jedi discipline, forever locked in opposition. As a result, the talisman is neither wholly light nor dark, but a scar left behind by their destruction. It can be worn as a brooch or talisman, its surface unnaturally cold at rest yet burning faintly during visions.

When attuned, the talisman heightens a Force-sensitive's ability to see through the Unifying Force, strengthening glimpses of possible futures or hidden truths. However, these visions are not free of distortion -- echoes of Krul's aggression and Crian's vigilance linger, sometimes coloring what is seen. Those who lean too heavily on the artifact may find themselves haunted by endless duels, their dreams fractured by the clash of light and shadow.

The talisman cannot be replicated, it's a relic bound forever to the vergence at Lake Krul.
